In an interview with Radio Times, the "Tonight's The Night" singer said that he's not the biggest fan of Trump, who also happens to be his neighbor.

“I’m not a great fan of Trump,” Stewart said. “I knew him very, very well. I used to go to his house. I live literally half a mile away. We’re both on the beach. I used to go to his Christmas parties."

Stewart added that he used to be fond of Trump because he was a "man's man;" however, his admiration for the politician began to fade over the last few years.

"I liked him for that. But he didn’t, as far as I’m concerned, treat women very well. But since he became president, he became another guy," he stated. “Somebody I didn’t know.”

This new persona, according to Stewart, was enough to end their years-long relationship, and when asked if he'd still call the Commander-In-Chief a friend, the "Maggie May" performer gave a definitive "no."

"I can't anymore," he continued before revealing another reason their friendship has been strained.

“As long as he is selling arms to the Israelis — and he still is. How’s that war ever gonna stop? And we should stop selling them as well," Stewart stated.

“Someone’s gotta do something,” he added. “What Netanyahu is doing to the Palestinians is exactly what happened to the Jews. It’s annihilation, and that’s all he wants to do — get rid of them all. I don’t know how they sleep at night.”

Stewart Has Spoken Out Against Donald Trump In The Past

Stewart's most recent comments aren't the first time the Grammy winner has spoken out against President Trump.

In 2024, the 80-year-old criticized the former reality star for questioning whether former Vice President Kamala Harris was really a Black woman.

During a concert, Stewart displayed a photo collage of Trump that showcased his famously varied skin tones, accompanied by a pointed on-screen comment about his appearance.

"I didn't know he was Orange until a number of years ago, when he happened to turn Orange," the message above the picture read. "I respect either one, but he obviously doesn't because all of a sudden he made a turn and he went — he became an Orange person."

The message continued, "I think somebody should look into that."

"I had a little joke about him when he had all the tan, you know, the Orange Man. And: 'Boooo!'" he said.

In 2016, when Trump announced his first run for the Oval Office, Stewart expressed his concerns about the former "Apprentice" star entering the political arena.

"Although he's sort of a friend of mine, I don't think he's presidential," he said, per the Daily Mail. "I don't think he's made to be a president."

Stewart echoed a similar sentiment in 2020 on the "How to Wow" podcast, stating, "That prick in the White House, pulling out of the Paris Accord is terrible."

He added, "I think the good Lord's intent on wiping us all out because we've spoiled the Earth. We've spoiled it. I think it's too late to turn back now."

And Stewart isn't the only celebrity expressing their pointed opinions about President Trump and his policies.

According to a previous report from The Blast, "Parks and Recreation" star Nick Offerman also criticized the politician during a Harris event in 2024, referencing his various legal troubles.

"I'm powerfully grateful to vote for Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who didn't just prosecute rapists, but also is not one herself," Offerman said, referencing Trump's liable count for sexually abusing advice columnist E. Jean Carroll.

"I've written a song for the evening from the point of view of one of these Republicans that might have once been blind but now can see a way clear to decency," he continued.

"So I'm proud to be a Kamala man who has quit the GOP 'cause I just can't abide a man who's tried for 34 felonies," the star added before blasting Trump's Vice President, JD Vance, as "f-cking weird."
