Dijkmans Reveals Why Women Are Struggling To Find Mr. Right

Dijkmans believes modern women are approaching dating all wrong. “Women need to have more respect for themselves and set clear boundaries with men,” she told the New York Post.

Despite receiving over 5,000 applications from potential boyfriends, none met her requirements. “You shouldn’t settle for late-night requests to ‘come over’ or going on dates where he has made no effort to plan in advance. This is a hard rule of mine,” she explained. “A man should take you on a proper date – like going out for dinner or doing an activity together. If they don’t suggest an impressive first date, I won’t bother going.”

For Dijkmans, effort and intention matter most. “He should bring you a gift, too,” she said, noting she’s received luxury presents from Louis Vuitton and Hermès. She added that “a bouquet with flowers would also be OK. It doesn’t have to be something extravagant, but it shows that he values your time and company.”

She also warned against red flags, noting, “You shouldn’t accept behavior such as him only texting you after 10:00 p.m.”

Dijkmans continued, “If that happens, you should immediately cut him off.” She added, “You also need to keep an eye out for men that make false promises or have double standards. If they don’t take care of themselves both in terms of hygiene and finances, that’s another big red flag for me.”
