Royal Experts Claim Meghan Markle's As Ever Business Is Fueled By Her Quest For 'Fame And Fortune'

Meghan Markle's foray into entrepreneurship is said to have been fuelled by her alleged ambition for "fame and fortune."
The duchess's business brand has recorded huge success since its launch, as her stunning products sold out within minutes. However, royal experts say she has always wanted to make money for herself, claiming it may have been the reason she and her husband, Prince Harry, left their royal roles in 2020.
Meghan Markle has also admitted to missing her former life as an actress after leaving her Hollywood career behind following her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry.
Meghan Markle's Business Venture Is A Quest For 'Fame And Fortune,' Expert Says

Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever, continues to enjoy success after she restocked her sold-out items and released a new line of products.
Despite this, royal experts believe the former "Suits" actress's business venture is primarily driven by a desire for "fame and fortune" and her quest to be recognized as a royal entrepreneur with a booming business empire.
"Of course, her royal title and Sussex name are boosting her brand," British broadcaster Helena Chard told Fox News.
"She will cling to this as it will help bring her [more] fame and fortune, which is imperative to her life. She will keep her fingers in many pies and her name in lights with the hope that one or more of her ideas will bring in the much-needed hard cash," Chard continued.
"However, she is not likely to amass her fortune from the sales of basic As Ever treats, however delicious they may be," Chard added.
Royal Expert Claims The Sussexes Left Their Role To Be Able To Make Money

Helena Chard's comment seems to echo previous sentiments from royal expert Valentine Low's 2023 book, "Courtiers," which surfaced online recently.
The author claimed Meghan and Harry left their royal roles because they wanted the "freedom to make money and dip their toes into politics."
He also claimed the former actress was eager to "earn money for herself," which reportedly influenced the couple's decision to make their royal exit.
Meghan and Harry stepped back from their royal roles and relocated abroad in 2020. At the time, they claimed that the British media had seemingly intruded on their private lives, which was further exacerbated by an alleged lack of support from the royal family.

Despite what critics have to say about Meghan and her business, the Duchess of Sussex has been enjoying a considerable amount of success since the launch of As Ever.
After her first line of products sold out in April upon release, Meghan surprised royal fans by announcing a restock along with new items — an apricot spread and orange blossom honey — for purchase.
Just like the last time, these new products, alongside the originals, such as her teas and flower sprinkles, sold out quick.
Reacting to this, Meghan wrote on her brand's Instagram page, "Cheers, dears! Wishing you a wonderful weekend! You've certainly made ours wonderful. We sold out…again!"
She also used the opportunity to announce the upcoming release of her brand's first alcoholic beverage, writing, "Sign up to be the first to order our debut As ever Napa Valley Rosé July 1st at 8 a.m. PT."
The Duchess Admits She Misses Acting

Meghan opened up about how she feels about leaving her Hollywood career for royal life after marrying Harry in 2018.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast, where the host asked her if she ever missed her former profession.
"Sometimes, sometimes," Meghan said. However, she explained that starring in her Netflix lifestyle show "With Love, Meghan" had helped fill the void. The series premiered in March, and the show will return for a second season in the fall.
"Actually, having a large team, being back on set with 'With Love, Meghan' was great because I realized how much I had missed my crew," Meghan told Grede. "I love being around a crew."
Meghan made her acting debut in a 2002 episode of the soap opera "General Hospital," before rising to fame in the 2011 USA Network legal drama "Suits," where she played Rachel Zane, a paralegal who eventually becomes a lawyer, for seven seasons.
The Duchess Didn't Say Her Goodbyes To 'Suits' Cast And Crew

Elsewhere in her chat with Grede, Meghan narrated how she wasn't able to properly say her goodbyes when she left "Suits" due to the need to keep her exit under wraps.
"We couldn't say I was leaving necessarily. It was speculated," Meghan said. "So, after seven years on the series, we couldn't have a going-away party. I couldn't say my goodbyes."
Meghan also reiterated that she still misses the crew she worked with during her time on "Suits."
"We work with people for seven years," she said. "For seven years, that's a really strong connection. And I loved the crew. So I think for me, having the [Netflix] series, even though it wasn't scripted, was really great to get that piece back, but then also building my own business. You have a team, and that's really what I was craving as well."
