Nick Cannon loves talking about his army of children, but sometimes, it gets him into a bit of trouble.

Most recently, the "Masked Singer" host appeared on a podcast and found himself in the hot seat when asked to name all 12 of his kids.

On the "Really Good Podcast," Cannon opened up about his decision to have so many children, offering a unique explanation for his large family.

“You know, Black men, we always be like, ‘What’s up king?’" he said, "I really think I'm the king."

“So you need to have… do kings have a lot of kids?” host Bobbi Althoff asked, to which Cannon replied, "Yeah."

Later, Althoff asked the "Wild 'N Out" creator whether he could name all 12 of his kids, and the challenge was much harder for the actor than he may have anticipated.

"I usually get in trouble," Cannon said before attempting to name all 12 on camera.

“I know all of them, but like. Here we go. I’ll lay them all out for you," Cannon added. "Keep me honest. There’s Roc, Roe, Golden, Powerful, Rise, Onyx, Legendary, Zion, Zillion, Zen, and….see this is where. How many [are left?]”

“You’re missing two,” the host said. “I’m missing two,” Cannon agreed.

According to a previous reports from The Blast, Cannon shares his 12 children with six different women.

He shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with singer and ex-wife Mariah Carey, whom he divorced in 2016.

He also has three children with Brittany Bell: sons Golden and Rise, and a daughter, Powerful. With Abby De La Rosa, he has twins Zion and Zillion, and a daughter, Beautiful.

Cannon shares a son, Legendary, with Bre Tiesi, and a daughter, Onyx, with LaNisha Cole.

Additionally, Cannon has two children with Alyssa Scott: their daughter, Halo Marie, and their son, Zen, who tragically passed away in 2021 from brain cancer.

In a previous interview, Cannon stated that he wasn't finished having children, despite already having a large family tree. “I just—I’m not done,” he said.

When pressed for more insight, Cannon provided a clearer answer.

“I don’t know,” he admitted. “That’s the thing. I leave it to the Lord.”

"[Saying when I was done seemed like] such an emphatic thing. I never imagined that I would have 12 kids. So, it's one of those things where I love children. I love my life, and if it could keep going in the direction that it's going, why not?" he shared in another interview.

And since Cannon is interested in expanding his family, it's perhaps unsurprising that the performer has taken unique steps to protect his most valuable assets.

After a scan of his jewels was performed by Dr. Squatch's Ball Valuation Tool, his testicles received a $10 million valuation and the title of "Most Valuable Balls."

According to The Blast, Cannon opened up about his decision to protect his man parts and said it was to provide for his children in the future.

“Haters say it’s time for me to stop having kids and put this super sperm to rest, but I’m doubling down on these valuable balls and my future kids,” Cannon said.

“I got the insurance policy in my office. It's legit,” he added, noting that each testicle is insured for $5 million.

“If I happen to lose one, all the money goes to my kids,” Cannon said of his dozen children.

In the meantime, however, Cannon especially values the time he has with his children, as he learns a host of new things from them, specifically "compassion."

"When it comes to this, I'm learning every single day, and my kids are the best teachers. And, really everything that I am offering up to them, I feel like it's just God working through me," Cannon said.

"I never take the standpoint of, 'Daddy knows best.' Nah, that's not the case. It's more about like, 'Look, we're going to figure this out together, and we're going to operate out of love and compassion," he finished.
