How A Childhood Dance Dream Turned Ally Love Into A Media & Wellness Trailblazer
By Melanie VanDerveer on June 26, 2025 at 9:00 AM EDT

Ally Love’s journey is one of resilience, reinvention, and relentless passion.
After a terrible accident at age nine, she fell in love with dance, launching a path that would take her from the stage to many amazing places. From modeling to being the host of the Brooklyn Nets to becoming a beloved Peloton instructor and the founder of Love Squad, Ally has built a multifaceted career rooted in authenticity and purpose.
Ally recently partnered with Scotch-Brite as a Clean Partner to help inspire others to pair their cleaning routines with music, dance, and positive vibes.
Ally recently had some time to sit down with The Blast to share some of her amazing journey, as well as information about her partnership with Scotch-Brite.
Ally Love Is Celebrating Scotch-Brite's National Shine Brite Day

Ally is ready for National Shine Brite Day powered by Scotch-Brite and shared with The Blast how she plans to find joy while taking care of those everyday activities of cleaning and organizing.
"National Shine Brite Day is a reminder to find joy in the small things and levity in routine when it comes to cleaning, organizing, and all those everyday activities. For me, it means coming back to one of my core values: small changes can create a huge impact," she told The Blast exclusively. "Oftentimes, we think we have to do something grand to feel successful or satiate the desire for progress, but the reality is, if we do a little bit, it all adds up. Scotch-Brite's National Shine Brite Day is a reminder to celebrate the joy of a job well done."
Ally, well known to many as a high-energy Peloton instructor, said part of her celebration is "have these conversations" on social media and even on Peloton.
"I try to remind people of this frequently. National Shine Brite Day isn't just one moment; this is a whole movement on how you shift your perspective and pursue finding joy," she added. "It's also a reminder that you might not necessarily feel joyous all the time; maybe it doesn't always just come to you - sometimes you have to seek it out or find it - and with National Shine Brite Day, you'll see it can be found in your everyday movement."
'We Have To Shift Our Perspective On What Wellness Truly Is'

Ally explained that the word "wellness" has become a "buzzword," and for many, is "tied to fitness routines or curated lifestyles we see on social media."
"And when we try to emulate that, we can lose sight of the more grounded, personal aspects of wellness - like how we care for our space. The reality is, no matter what luxuries you might have, everyone has to clean up in some capacity," she shared. "We all want our spaces to reflect who and what we are. It's important to make sure that you do the things you need to take care of yourself - and that includes making your space feel comfortable and safe."
Ally added that having the correct tools, such as Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge, can help you make your space feel like you. Ally likes to encourage others to shift the wellness mindset to say, "How does my space make me feel? And how can I change it to make me feel better?"
Ally Love Believes Music Changes How People Approach Things

Known for her positivity and for being high energy, Ally said "music and fitness go hand in hand." And when it comes to cleaning, it's all about the music.
"Oh, hitting the two-step is easy! I put on my headphones and dance around the kitchen. I put on my favorite playlist, whether it's Whitney Houston, Taylor Swift, or a little Beyonce. But sometimes Beyonce gets me a little too hyped. I've learned that when it comes to moving my body, even in fitness, when Beyonce comes on, my heart rate starts to get really elevated," she shared. "I can't put Beyonce on too quickly, because then I forget that I was cleaning. So, I like playlists that make me feel a little bit calmer and more focused."
And sometimes, Ally chooses to listen to an audiobook to get in that productive mindset, but she said that music can change how you approach a lot of things.
"When people say, 'I don't want to work out,' I always tell them to just put on the class, and once you hear the music, that'll be the momentum for you to keep going," she told The Blast. "So, put the music on first and say, 'I'm going to clear this one counter.' Start there and then let that momentum carry you into cleaning that one space, and you'll realize, 'Oh, that wasn't so bad.'"
So what's her favorite go-to music to clean?
"Hamilton - the first half of Hamilton. I don't clean to the second half of Hamilton because I feel like cleaning should have a limit," she said. "I put on Taylor Swift radio. I also have these playlists for my Feel-Good Rides. I will also put on Country Pop."
Ally Love's Journey From Childhood Dancing To Model, Host, And Peloton Instructor

Ally is known to have worn many hats throughout her journey - from dancer to model to host and Peloton instructor.
"My journey began when I was 9 years old. I got hit by a car, and a year later, my mom put me in a summer dance program. That's when I fell in love with dance. It became a form of communication for me, especially when I didn't have the words to articulate how I felt as a young child. Dance is what brought me to New York," she told The Blast. "While in New York City, I got into modeling because I heard you could make good money, and I needed to pay my bills. I got signed to Wilhelmina and started modeling professionally. Then I took a hosting class, and it was through that class that I recognized I love conversation and interacting with people. It made me realize, 'This is what I want to do forever.'"
And then Ally began hosting for the Brooklyn Nets, which led her to become an Adidas global ambassador, which eventually led her to Peloton to become an instructor.
"When I think about what's changed my life the most - being a Peloton instructor, hosting for the Brooklyn Nets for 11 seasons, founding Love Squad, contributing to the "Today Show" - it's hard to choose just one," Ally said. "What's really shaped my life is that I've always lived at the intersection of multiple things. Being able to do the things that I'm good at across various platforms has been my superpower. I think it's the intersection of Peloton, the "Today Show," and Love Squad that puts me in a unique position, and I'm never bored."
Stand Out Moments While Hosting The Brooklyn Nets

"It was practice, like Allen Iverson says. These were reps before I took a hosting class. I had no experience, and then the Brooklyn Nets gave me a job. I went from talking to people one-on-one to talking to 18,000 fans in an arena - 41 games and playoffs and preseason," Ally explained about her time with the Nets. "I was getting reps in speaking live, messing up, making mistakes, saying words wrong, and getting nervous in front of 18,000 fans quite often throughout the season."
Ally said there were quite a few standout memories from her time with the Nets. One was getting a shout-out in an article by one of the star players.
"I think when Kevin Durant came to the Brooklyn Nets, he gave me a shout-out in an article about him joining the team and was just like, Ally Love, the host of the Brooklyn Nets. Oftentimes as a host, especially as a woman in the NBA, you don't always get the look, right? And so for him to give me that moment in that article, I thought that was really nice," she said. "It was something I was proud of because I'd been working for the team for so long and you don't necessarily get public recognition from the team or the organization or the players. So for such a key player to come into the organization and give me the look and acknowledge the work that I do - being on court and being able to make the fans engaged and have a good time - was helpful."
Another standout moment was shouting out Mr. Whammy and Mrs. Whammy. Any true Nets fan knows exactly who the iconic couple is.
"They were just the pinnacle, they're iconic to the organization, and I got to be with them and see them," she said. "They were just incredible super fans, and I love them for that. I think Mr. and Mrs. Whammy will always be one of the fondest memories from my Brooklyn Nets tenure."

Ally said Peloton is "constantly listening to our members" and she's recently done a bunch of artist series. She said they are also launching some new ride formats, such as Rolling Hills and Progressive Push.
"Those are coming out slowly," she said. "We're also continuing to refine our barre offerings as a platform, as we've recently introduced barre sculpt."
With Love Squad, Ally is planning to bring a partner in to do a dinner series on the topic of women in business. She's hoping to do this at the end of the year into the new year.
One thing she's not done yet that she hopes to add to her resume in the future - write a book.
"I do think I have something to share. So that's always in the back of my mind," she told The Blast. "But just to be clear, nothing's in motion yet. There's no, 'Ally's writing a book' announcement coming."
