Garth Brooks' Daughter Reveals Where They Stand Amid His Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Garth Brooks' daughter, Allie Colleen, is putting some distance between herself and her dad amid the accusations against him.

The iconic country singer's daughter is dispelling misconceptions surrounding her connection to her father as she establishes herself as an independent creative artist.

Garth Brooks is currently in court fighting off sexual assault allegations from a former employee of his; the experience has reportedly left him on a rollercoaster of emotions.

During a recent appearance on the BobbyCast podcast, Allie explained that while she carries the Brooks last name, it does not represent her identity.

She described herself as a daughter to the title, which "has been molded, shaped, and worked for." Allie stated that she is a fan of the name and loves what it represents.

"Garth Brooks is a product, and Allie Colleen is a product. I've worked hard on it, on its shelving, on its packaging, on what it represents, on where it comes from, all of those things," Allie continued.

She explained that her identity does not have to be a byproduct of Garth. In her words, "He's just my dad, and we love each other. And then I went off and made a career for myself in music."

As she proceeds with establishing her music career, Allie expresses her intention to steer clear of any situation that would tie her to her father's name.

She urged the music industry to support her music career by engaging with her content.According to her, being put in a box will only lead to an unpleasant outcome. Allie emphasized:

"I'm just asking the industry to help me out, to not put me in that box with people. I'm not going to fit in that box. They're not going to like me in there."

The 28-year-old continued that she does not represent her dad or his interests as she pursues her path. She also corrected a notion about her music career, saying:

"So it's just always been tough when it's like Garth Brooks' daughter, Allie Colleen, doing this. Now, all of a sudden, everyone thinks Friends in Low Places is going to be in my set, and it's not in there."

The talent marked a major milestone in her career when she released her first album,"Stones," in 2021.She also dropped a five-song EP, "Sincerely Rolling Stone," early this year.

The country singer's ongoing sexual assault case has reportedly left him in a bad place, as The Blast previously shared. Sources close to Garth noted that he saw the allegations as the most trying event of his life.

The accusation of sexual assault and harassment from his former makeup artist and hairstylist also left an indelible mark on his reputation as a talented musician.

According to a close source in the artist's camp, "He's totally convinced he'll get through this sordid mess, but it's caused him undue stress. He's in legal meetings, and the phone is going off 24/7. He's having to fend off questions from friends and loved ones. It's perhaps the most stressful event of his life."

He also suffered various medical repercussions from the stress, such as high blood pressure and more physical symptoms like bloating and inflammation.

People in his close circle reportedly voiced concerns about his likewise unhealthy coping mechanisms, which see him indulging in harmful eating habits and unhealthy patterns.

Despite everything going on, the songwriter is not losing the support of his darling wife, who chose to stand by him amid all his scandals. The Blast shared in January that the pair made a very rare public appearance at the funeral of late President Jimmy Carter.

Garth and Trisha Yearwood offered a heartfelt rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine" in their tribute to the late politician and statesman. The country music legends had previously performed the song at Rosalynn Carter's funeral two years ago in 2023.

Both slugged it out on stage as Garth played the acoustic guitar while Trisha offered her sonorous voice alongside the choir, who brought the house down with their rendition.

The Carters have known the couple for years due to their mutual association with Habitat for Humanity. Then, as time passed, the two couples became close friends, and Garth and Trisha were regular volunteers with Habitat for Humanity building efforts.

They worked together on the 2024 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Week Project in the city of St. Paul, Minnesota. Yearwood previously shared that Jimmy had a heritage of service and never quit serving when she showered praises on him during his 100th birthday celebration. 

The country musician's accuser, who filed her lawsuit anonymously in California last October, claimed several episodes of sexual assault occurred while she worked with him on his team.

She recalled working for him as a hairstylist and makeup artist as far back as 2017, after she had previously worked with his wife. The alleged sexual assault reportedly took place in 2019 during a work trip.

She claimed that the singer invited her on a private jet to Los Angeles for work at the taping of his Grammy tribute performance. She remembered feeling shocked that the singer had booked a single suite with just one bedroom, which left her no place to sleep.

Soon, Garth reportedly appeared in the doorway stark naked, which left the plaintiff feeling trapped and uncomfortable. He then reportedly proceeded to rape her and would frequently tell her about his sexual fantasies while groping her.
