"Summer House" star Paige DeSorbo shocked the Bravosphere when she announced her exit from the long-running reality series in early June 2025.

However, her on-and-off-screen bestie, Amanda Batula, recently hinted that the "Giggly Squad" podcast host could return to the series sooner than expected.

In a new interview, Batula also weighed in on Lexi Wood's surprising "Summer House" departure, which followed a season largely defined by her contentious relationship with ex-boyfriend Jesse Solomon.

The day after the "Summer House" season 9 reunion concluded, DeSorbo shared a lengthy Instagram post announcing her departure from the Bravo show.

"I have a little life update for you: I've made the decision not to return to Summer House," she wrote in her Instagram Stories. "Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable," she continued.

"You've seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I'll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it's time for this chapter to close," the fashion influencer added.

"To my castmates, the fans, and my NBCU family: thank you," she continued. "I never could've imagined what this journey would turn into — and how many of you would be along for the ride. And you haven't seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed."

Although many fans were stunned by her decision, Batula told The Post that she saw her exit coming from a mile away.

Batula Was 'Expecting' DeSorbo's 'Summer House' Exit After Her Season Before

“She FaceTimed me and Ciara [Miller] and told us, and it was really tough to hear,” Batula, 33, told the publication.

“I think I was sort of expecting it just because she had such a rough time last summer, and you can really tell that her anxiety was taking her over. She stayed back a few Fridays, would stay back a weekend. She was really struggling, and I think that it’s the best decision for her," she added.

However, the veteran reality star, who recently launched her "Amanda Batula" swim line, said she has a feeling DeSorbo will return to the series—or TV in general—sometime soon.

Could DeSorbo Make Her Way Back To The Hamptons For A Future Season Of 'Summer House'?

“I’m calling it taking a summer off,” Batula told The Post. “I’d like to think that she’s not done. I know that she is not done with TV."

She added, "That girl was born for TV. So I know we’ll be seeing plenty of her. But I mean, it’s exhausting to go out to the Hamptons every single weekend, driving back and forth, sitting in the traffic, all the partying, the drinking. It’s a lot. And I think she went through it last summer, and she just needs a break. And I respect that.”

Batula explained that although DeSorbo's exit made her and her co-star, Ciara Miller, "sad," she's glad to still have an ally on the show. “[Ciara and I] just kind of looked at each other and were like, ‘It’s just the two of us.’”

And DeSorbo isn't the only one leaving "Summer House" and the Hamptons behind.

Wood, who spent most of the season arguing with her ex-boyfriend, Solomon, also announced her departure in June 2025.

“Well… that wasn’t the summer I signed up for but it definitely taught me a lot,” she wrote online. “I stood up for women and for what’s right, even when it wasn’t easy and I’d do that again in a heartbeat.”

Wood continued, “I’m leaving Summer House with no regrets (Well… maybe one)," before saying she was "proud of the way I handled myself" and "proud of what I walked away from."

During her chat with The Post, Batula opened up about Wood's announcement, calling the decision a "bummer."

She added that she believed Wood, 27, "had so much potential" and called her tumultuous relationship with Solomon "unfortunate."

"Lexi and I knew each other before,” she continued. “I think it would have been great to have a girl summer, but I can’t control what people decide to do.”
