Ivanka Trump has been labeled "tone-deaf" by fans for having a merry time amid the cries against her father and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The daughter of President Donald Trump and his late ex-wife Ivana sparked criticisms following her latest social media update. She proudly celebrated World Ocean Day with multiple shots from the beach, but her followers were far from impressed.

Ivanka Trump's beach update comes months after she doubled down on her decision to leave politics and not support her father's political career. She was once a significant part of Donald Trump's administration in his first term, but the experience appears to have done more harm than good.

While multiple protests have broken out in Los Angeles over ICE's treatment of immigrants under Trump's administration, Ivanka, on the other hand, chose peace amid the chaos. She updated her Instagram page with five shots from the beach in honor of World Ocean Day.

The pictures captured her surfing and playing at the beach, while other shots flaunted the ocean's beauty. Ivanka implied the soothing atmosphere was her go-to spot whenever life got challenging, writing: "There's no place I feel more free, more grounded, and more at peace than in the ocean."

"It restores, it humbles, and it inspires. Today, on #worldoceansday, let's celebrate this blue heart of our planet," she concluded her caption. Despite receiving over 90k likes for her post, commenters called her out for being tone-deaf and reaping the rewards of having a powerful man as her father.

Critics Slam The Media Personality For Not Addressing The Cries Against ICE

Those who found Ivanka's post insensitive reminded her of her father's double standards. They implied that he allowed ICE to ruthlessly crack down on immigrants because he was once married to an immigrant and raised children with her.

"Don't forget your mom was an immigrant too," someone stressed. Their words were acknowledged by a fellow IG user who noted the late Ivana was a "lucky immigrant" as not many could get visas or marry white millionaires like she did.

A third compared the media personality to the late Marie Antoinette, who is linked to the popular quote, "Let them eat cake." Just as how the last queen of France was accused of being tone-deaf, the critic quipped: "Ivanka Antoinette. While America burns, she surfs."

More Fans Bash Ivanka For Being Happy

The criticisms continued, with more IG users slamming Ivanka for neglecting the public's suffering. "How can you be so happy while others are in pain? How sad," someone noted. Another agreed, writing: "My father is bringing our country to the brink of Civil War, I'm going surfing! Lol!"

"Why don't you humble your dad and tell him to call off troops in Los Angeles," an individual quipped while a fellow critic claimed Ivanka was "trying desperately to appear human." Others shared the horrors of ICE and implored Trump's daughter to stop staying silent and speak out against injustice.

Ivanka's decision to celebrate World Ocean Day instead of addressing the ICE protests might stem from her stance against politics. In January, she emphasized that she no longer wished to be associated with politics, following her time as a senior advisor during her father's first term in office.

Why The Former Senior Advisor To The President Left Politics

Ivanka addressed her decision to leave politics during a January episode of the Skinny Confidential's "Him & Her Show" podcast. The New York Post covered the story, reporting that she declared she would not return to the White House to support her father's administration.

"I love policy and impact. I hate politics. And unfortunately, the two are not separable," Ivanka explained. She described politics as a "very dark, negative business," noting she did not want to welcome the darkness of that world into her life, and the same applied to her children.

Although she refused to return to politics, Ivanka said she would support her father's return to the Oval Office as a proud daughter. She stressed that she wanted Donald to be himself around her and do simple tasks, such as watching a movie or a sports game, without thinking about his presidential status.

Ivanka's decision to stay away from politics started after she and her husband, Jared Kushner, served as senior advisors to the president during his first term. Following their removal from office, The Blast shared that the couple swiftly distanced themselves from politics.

They did not change their stance in 2024, even when Donald became the presumptive Republican party nominee for president. A source claimed Ivanka wouldn't change her mind anytime soon, saying:

"She is pleased, living her best life. She left politics totally in the rearview mirror."

The insider alleged that Ivanka had notified her father about her decision to stay away from his presidential campaign, and she planned to keep it that way. They added that she wished to be more supportive as a daughter than a campaign member, as her focus was primarily on raising her children with Kushner.

Can the backlash break Ivanka Trump's stance on politics, or will she continue to remain silent about Donald Trump's administration and ICE?
