A new twist has hit the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni legal saga, and now, actress Julia Fox is charging into the controversy with her trademark frankness.
Following the dismissal of Baldoni's massive countersuit, Fox is standing with Lively and torching the public for their harsh treatment.
Her comments are making headlines and fueling fresh debate in Hollywood.
Julia Fox Stands By Blake Lively

Fox didn't hesitate to throw her support behind Lively following a major courtroom victory.
After a judge tossed out Justin Baldoni's $400 million defamation countersuit against Lively and her circle, Fox told the Daily Mail at the Tribeca Film Festival, "I was very happy to hear the news about Blake Lively because I support women all the time."
She added, "I support women when they're right. I support women when they're wrong. I support women when they're likable, and when they're unlikable, I support women that I have nothing in common with."
The "Uncut Gems" star made it clear that her allegiance lies with women, no matter how messy the situation may seem.
Julia Fox Slams Public Reaction As 'So Inhumane'

Fox didn't mince words when describing the online treatment of Lively.
She said she's seen how the internet has turned on Lively and criticized the double standard women face in the public eye.
Fox shared, "I believe women and I do know that she has been a victim of the internet and I have seen the way that people have just been so inhumane."
The actress knows the sting of online hate firsthand, especially following her highly scrutinized relationship with Kanye West and the criticism she often receives for her bold fashion choices.
Drawing on that personal experience, she added, "As someone who has been on the receiving end of so much online hate and trolls and nasty headlines and clickbait, I can sympathize and I know how isolating that feels. It's so embarrassing."
Blake Lively Finds An Unexpected Ally In Julia Fox

Though Fox and Lively don't run in the same circles, the actress still felt compelled to speak out.
"I support women that I do have things in common with, and I'm going to support Blake," Fox noted.
She also stressed that she would never work with Baldoni in the future.
"The punishment for women always outweighs the crime, and we don't even know if there was a crime," she said, adding, "I wish people would just shut up until we have all the facts and just stop speculating."
Even though they've never met and don't share friends, Fox had a direct message for Lively.
She said, "It might feel like the whole world is against you, but there are people that are rooting for you."
Fox's Track Record Of Defending Women

This isn't the first time Julia Fox has jumped into a high-profile controversy to defend another woman.
During Amber Heard's infamous legal battle with Johnny Depp, Fox took to Emily Ratajkowski's "High Low" podcast to voice her support for Heard.
She said at the time, "If it can happen to Amber Heard, who is blonde and beautiful and successful, then none of us are safe."
Fox's memoir "Down the Drain" also reveals her deep understanding of trauma, touching on her abusive childhood, struggles with addiction, and inappropriate relationships with older men when she was just a child.
Blake Lively Scores Major Legal Win

The latest court ruling marks a pivotal moment in Lively's lawsuit against Baldoni, whom she claimed sexually harassed her on the set of "It Ends With Us."
Baldoni denied the allegations and responded with a sweeping lawsuit of his own, targeting not only Lively but also her husband, Ryan Reynolds, The New York Times, and her PR team.
That lawsuit has now been dismissed, a massive setback for Baldoni.
Following the legal win, Lively issued a powerful statement on her Instagram Stories.
She said, "Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organizations united in defending women's rights to speak up for their safety. Like so many others, I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us. While the suit against me was defeated, so many don't have the resources to fight back."
Lively added, "I'm more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman's right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity, and their story."
