Brian Was Taken Into Conservatorship Due To Health Issues Last Year

In a report by The Blast last year, Brian was placed under court-ordered guardianship in a ruling approved by an L.A. judge last year. The conservatorship arrangement became necessary as the singer battled dementia.
Brian's staff, including his publicist, Jean Sievers, and manager, LeeAnn Hard, were appointed by the judge as his legal guardians. The judgment was accepted by all parties involved, including the actor's children.
Before approving the request, Judge Gus T. May maintained that it was essential to prove that Brian consented to be taken into the conservatorship arrangement since he could not make independent decisions.
"I find from clear and convincing evidence that a conservatorship of the person is necessary," the judge pronounced.

Wilson's program kicked off with him living under a 24-hour routine in his million-dollar, 9,353-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills. His publicist and manager were hand-picked by his family to look after him after his wife died last year.
The duo lived up to expectations by ensuring that all his needs were met, including well-prepared meals and timely administration of his medication by health experts.
Before his conservatorship commenced, the singer already employed three full-time caregivers living in his home. They were joined by three nurses to also assist them in giving him the best possible care. His lawyer praised his mental alertness despite his dementia. According to him:
"Brian was well oriented as to person, place and time, acknowledging and responding to his name, providing me with his date of birth, the time of day, and the current date."
May Brian Wilson's soul rest in perfect peace.
