Youtuber P2istheName's Cause Of Death Revealed

YouTuber P2istheName, whose real name was Philip Enewally, left fans heartbroken when news of his sudden death surfaced earlier this year.

At just 26, the rising internet star had built a massive following with his gaming and lifestyle content. Now, months after his passing, the official cause of death has finally been revealed.

According to official word from the coroner, the young star tragically passed away due to heart-related issues.

Since the tragic demise of P2isthename, the internet has been buzzing with speculation about the cause of his death.

On Tuesday, June 10, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner confirmed that the Internet personality died of natural causes resulting from cardiac dysfunction.

“The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner (DME) determined the cause of death of 26-year-old YouTuber Philip Enewally was sudden cardiac dysfunction due to solitary papillary muscle hypertrophy,” the coroner officer revealed in a news release.

They added, “Solitary papillary muscle hypertrophy is a subtype of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is a risk factor for a sudden fatal cardiac event. The manner of death is natural.”

In addition, they noted that responding paramedics were unable to revive P2isthename and pronounced him dead in the afternoon

P2istheName tragically passed away on March 14, 2025, shaking his online community to its core.

According to a TMZ report, the rising star was discovered unresponsive in the mailroom of his Los Angeles apartment building by a property manager.

Unfortunately, despite emergency responders’ immediate efforts, he was pronounced dead at 3:11 p.m.

His mother later confirmed his passing, asking the public to respect the family’s privacy as they grieved.

She also encouraged fans to visit the deceased’s channel to honor his memory. In no time, P2istheName’s channel with nearly 4 million subscribers became a space for heartfelt tributes and stunned disbelief.

One fan wrote, “Came here to pay my respect. Growing up I used to watch this guy a lot he had a big impact on my life. In the morning and after school I would watch him while I ate my food, you will be remembered brother thank you for being a part of my life. Farewell rip god bless man.”

Another broken fan also opened up about how the 26-year-old was a big part of their childhood.

“Thank you P2 for the childhood memories, I remember watching your Fortnite videos on my phone when I stayed at my dad’s house and I would sit and watch your videos for hours, I can’t believe your gone. Rest easy P2,” they wrote.

A third fan revealed that the YouTuber’s death made them cry hard.

“Never thought I’d cry this hard bro you inspired so much people. You made people laugh and vibe. This breaks my heart bro fr. I’m praying for your family Dom Jay Tony RyB and everyone else that knew you from your fans. We love and we’ll miss you gang. You gone but not forgotten.”

Popular Internet personalities were not left out as they shared tributes across social media platforms.

Fellow YouTuber COLETHEMAN shouted out his late friend in a post on X. “My good friend @P2istheName has passed away… wow. I’m honestly at a loss for words. He was always so kind to me and gave me so much content creation advice. May he rest in peace. This breaks my heart,” he wrote.

Popular streamer Kai Cenat also revealed that although he and P2istheName weren’t so close, the deceased always showed him support and love when he started his streaming career. “I want to go ahead and say RIP,” he added. Cenat also expressed shock about the YouTuber passing away at a young age.

Another YouTuber, YourRage, responded to the news in a post, writing, “This is sad bruh… nobody even knows how either. He just collapsed as soon as he walked out a room. No symptoms nothing. Bro was healthy having a regular a-- night & boom. Tomorrow isn't promised yall .. live wit no regrets. Prayers to all his friends & family fr.”

P2istheName rose to YouTube fame through his vibrant gaming content, primarily NBA 2K and Fortnite, before expanding into skits, lifestyle vlogs, and fashion.

With millions of subscribers, he built a strong, loyal fan base drawn to his humor and ambition.

Outside YouTube, he launched his own streetwear brand, Don’t Mind Us, and had recently teased a big move to Atlanta to elevate his brand.

Although all seemed well with the star, behind the scenes, he had some struggles.

In recent months, he had opened up about feeling lost, sharing his struggles with declining viewership and uncertainty about the future of his content.
