Sydney Sweeney Criticized In Striped Underwear And Thigh-Highs Photo

Sydney Sweeney is facing backlash over her latest Instagram share in the wake of her bathwater soap drama. The actress, 27, made headlines recently for having her limited-edition Dr Squatch soap sell out "in seconds," and with the bars made from water that Sydney bathed in, they've been reselling on Ebay for as much as $2,000 a bar. Earlier this week, Sydney posted a gallery of snaps to mark her latest magazine feature, with one image showing her squatting in heels while wearing fun, red-and-white striped undies and thigh-highs. Users, who seemed more interested in discussing Sydney and her soap, lashed out in the comments, with some of the most-liked comments slamming her for "setting women back 100 years."

Scroll for all the photos. Shouting out W Magazine in her caption, Sydney proved quite the chameleon. Opening her gallery wearing a "Golden Girl" sash as she modeled a silver satin dress, Sydney teased her famous curves while wearing a bouffant hairdo, plus pale blue eyeshadow.

Upping the ante in a swipe right, the Euphoria actress flashed her ample cleavage in an eye-popping striped bra, one she wore to match red-and-white-striped thigh-highs. Adding in satin red shorts and black heels, Sydney rocked a striped helmet, placing her hands on her thighs while rolling her eyes upward.

Alongside posing in a red satin dress and black-heeled boots, Sydney also went Little Red Riding Hood in one snap, where she swathed her curves in a chunky, red-knitted minidress and cape. "What a dream," she wrote while thanking W Magazine.

The comments are all over the place, and not many are about Sydney's photo shoot. Users seemed outraged over her bathwater soap, with one comment reading: "You deleted your soap post but no one forgot the situation you got yourself into." Over 2,000 fans liked the reply. "Thank you for setting women back 100 years with your bath water soap" was a comment gaining a similar number of likes.

"Setting feminism back like crazy I fear," a further user wrote. Sydney does not appear to have addressed the drama in this post. "Go sell your soap bro" seemed to possibly throw shade, too. The above photo was used to promote the limited-edition Bathwater Bliss, where only 5,000 bars were released. “You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it," Sydney Sweeney said in a statement.

Elsewhere, Sydney Sweeney remains in the news for continuing her high-profile deal with designer Miu Miu. The newly single star, who recently ended her engagement to fiancé Jonathan Davino, went all bicycle chic in this Instagram post in May, promoting the Miu Miu Wander purse while in skimpy shorts.
