The 'Summer House' Cast Is Having Quite The Shakeup Ahead Of Season 10

On Thursday, June 5, just one day after the dramatic conclusion of the season 9 "Summer House" reunion, DeSorbo, who joined the series in 2019, announced she was putting the show behind her.

"I have a little life update for you: I've made the decision not to return to Summer House," she wrote in her Instagram Stories. "Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable," she continued.

"You've seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I'll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it's time for this chapter to close," the fashion influencer added.

And you haven't seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed."

DeSorbo Was Nervous About Joining 'Summer House' In 2019

In an earlier interview with PEOPLE, DeSorbo discussed the many emotions she experienced when deciding whether to join the cast of "Summer House" during its third season in 2019.

According to her, through tears, she called her dad, who encouraged her to dip her toes into the reality TV waters for one year before fully committing to the on-camera lifestyle. "And that's what put me in the mindset to actually film the first season. And then by the second weekend, I was like, ‘I love it,'" she said.

DeSorbo Seemingly Hinted That Her Time On 'Summer House' Was Coming To An End

Fast forward six years, and with seven seasons under her belt, the reality star told Us Weekly she had been contemplating her next career move.

“Reality TV, I wasn’t trying to be on it. I’m not trying to be off it or on it,” she revealed. “I think when it fits in your life, it fits in your life. I’ve been really thankful for 'Summer House' because filming is so different than other people’s. We really get away with a lot, it’s just weekends.”

Fans React To DeSorbo's Shocking Exit

Once @QueensofBravo shared the news of DeSorbo's shocking exit on their Instagram, many loyal Bravoverse members weighed in to share their opinions about her decision.

"'Summer House' will never recover," a user commented. "Anyway. I'll be grieving in my [Daphne] set."

A second user clearly agreed, adding, "I'm emotional, but can't wait to see her keep thriving."

Several other users mentioned wanting to see more of DeSorbo, advocating for her own spin-off show. "Paige SPIN OFF," someone posted. "Give the people what they want."

Another user offered a different take on DeSorbo's announcement, though, suggesting a complete cast overhaul and replacing them with "younger people who want to party and have fun."

"Trying to still do this at ages when you're marrying and considering families is too much and not fun for the viewers," they finished.

What's DeSorbo Been Up To Lately?

Aside from "Summer House," DeSorbo has certainly kept her schedule packed!

In early 2025, the reality star teamed up with former "Summer House" castmate Hannah Berner for their laugh-out-loud new book, "How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously," which quickly became a New York Times Bestseller.

"'How to Giggle' feels like you’re at a slumber party with your besties giving you juicy advice on sex, flirting, and social media etiquette. You’ll find interactive quizzes, and tips like finding your personal style and wellness hacks," the book's description reads.

And promoting their new page-turner isn't the only thing keeping them busy. The dynamic duo also co-hosts the popular podcast, "Giggly Squad," available for streaming on all major podcast platforms and YouTube.
