A fan named Liam shared the moment on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, posting a pic of the signed album which read, “To the Best Liam," a clear jab at her ex of over a decade.

“Miley writing ‘the Best Liam’ on my vinyl [crying emoji],” the fan captioned the photo, followed by a second snap of the two smiling together, proudly declaring, “me when I’m the best Liam.”

Miley and Hemsworth, who began dating in 2009 after co-starring in "The Last Song," had an on-and-off relationship that spanned nearly ten years before they secretly tied the knot in December 2018. But less than a year later, the pop star stunned fans by announcing their separation, with Hemsworth officially filing for divorce just days later.

The split was finalized in January 2020.

These days, both stars seem to have found new chapters. Miley is currently dating Liily drummer Maxx Morando with whom she’s been linked since 2021.  Despite being only six years apart, the 31-year-old pop star says the age gap between her and her 26-year-old Gen Z boyfriend feels more significant than it sounds.

“He grew up with a laptop [and] I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters,” Miley told Harper’s Bazaar in an interview. The tech gap extends to pet parenting, too, with Morando turning to Reddit for advice on raising their dog. “I’m like, ‘Are you sure we’re supposed to be doing this?’ And he’s like, ‘On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah,’” she laughed.

Still, the two share plenty in common. “He’s very similar to me,” Cyrus said, noting they bond over memes and music. They often trade songs they find hilariously cringey but lovable, like Train’s early 2000s hit “Drops of Jupiter.” With a shared sense of humor and a laid-back outlook on life, the couple seems to be striking just the right chord.

Meanwhile, Hemsworth has been in a long-term relationship with model Gabriella Brooks.

During Spotify’s "An Evening With Miley Cyrus" event in New York City on May 6, the pop icon didn’t hold back when introducing fans to her latest album, "Something Beautiful."

With her signature mix of sass and sincerity, Miley asked the crowd, “On a scale of, I think, one to gay, how gay is this album?” before confidently declaring, “It’s not only my best album, but also my gayest.”

The bold proclamation wasn’t just for laughs. It spoke volumes about the energy and authenticity pulsing through her ninth studio release. Miley revealed that "Something Beautiful" is deeply personal, with a core theme of redefining beauty on her own terms. “Beauty, but not what beauty represents by a standard of someone else’s idea,” she explained to fans.

Reflecting on her growth, Miley also opened up about how she’s learned to embrace life’s challenges with curiosity rather than fear. “When something we label as ‘bad’ happens,” she said, “greet it with excitement, because it always means that something is on the other side that’s gonna come from it. There’s always a lesson.”

Miley recently got candid about a major health hurdle that’s shaped both her sound and her career path.

In a vulnerable interview on Apple Music’s "The Zane Lowe Show," the pop star revealed she has a “very large polyp” on her vocal cord, an abnormal growth that’s responsible for her famously raspy voice.

“It’s a part of my unique anatomy,” Miley shared. “It’s given me a lot of the tone and texture that has made me who I am, but it’s extremely difficult to perform with.” Comparing live shows to “running a marathon with ankle weights on,” the 32-year-old singer explained that the condition makes touring physically taxing, ultimately influencing her decision to step back from the road.

Despite the limitations it brings, Miley doesn’t view the diagnosis as entirely negative. In fact, she sees it as a blessing that helped craft her one-of-a-kind vocal identity.
