The actor was arraigned in court on June 2, where he successfully requested a one-year diversion program from the judge. As part of the program, he is required to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings at least three times per week.

He was ordered to meet with his therapist twice a week for the next six months. He must also comply with all laws during this period.

Although the Mono County district attorney opposed the diversion due to the actor's previous DUI conviction and an incident involving racial slurs during his arrest, the judge granted the request.

If the actor completes the diversion successfully, all charges against him will be dismissed. However, PEOPLE reported that should he fail to meet the program's requirements, criminal proceedings will resume.
