And while the final product is nothing short of dazzling, the behind-the-scenes process was just as exciting.
In a video posted Tuesday, the three-time Grammy winner is seen trying on a dramatic 1991 archival piece and gushing, "This is every fantasy!"
Her longtime stylist, Bradley Kenneth, opened up to Vogue in March about the fashion influences behind Miley's era-defining looks. "We pulled from designers who've been part of Miley's style story throughout the decade I've been working closely with her," he said. "Whether it's [Bob] Mackie's drama or [Thierry] Mugler's powerful silhouettes, these influences have always been there, just evolving with her."
Kenneth also revealed just how committed the team was to creating something unforgettable, "We actually hold the record for the largest collection of Mugler archives ever sent to a single individual, which is still surreal to say," he said.

At Spotify's "An Evening With Miley Cyrus" in New York City on May 6, the pop icon didn't hold back when reflecting on her upcoming album "Something Beautiful."
In true Miley fashion, she posed a cheeky rhetorical question to the crowd, "On a scale of, I think, one to gay, how gay is this album?" she asked with a grin, according to Billboard. "It's not only my best album, but also my gayest."
With that one line, Cyrus perfectly captured the spirit of her ninth studio release. Bold, unapologetic, and deeply personal.

Cyrus shared that the heart of her new album centers on the idea of "beauty," but not in the traditional sense.
"Beauty, but not what beauty represents by a standard of someone else's idea," she explained to fans during her Spotify event.
Reflecting on her own growth, she added, "It changed my life, with anxiety, when something we label as 'bad' happens, to greet it with excitement, because it always means that something is on the other side that's gonna come from it. There's always a lesson."

With high-fashion visuals, raw lyrics, and undeniable charisma, it's no surprise fans are already calling it her best work to date.
