Joe Exotic has a bone to pick with President Donald Trump for granting Julie and Todd Chrisley their freedom while he remains behind bars.

The media personality called out the POTUS in a series of tweets for abandoning him in favor of the Chrisleys. He insisted their cases could not be compared, stressing that he was innocent of his alleged crimes while the famous couple were found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud.

Joe Exotic was arrested in 2018 on suspicion of hiring two men to murder his rival, Carole Baskin. He was convicted on two counts of attempted murder for hire and animal abuse in 2019, initially receiving a 22-year prison sentence.

However, the "Tiger King" star won his appeal in 2021, and his sentence was eventually reduced by one year in late January 2022.

Following Trump's recent decision to pardon the Chrisley couple, Joe, born Joseph Allen Maldonado, penned his grievances against the politician on X. He ranted for hours, insisting the outcome was unfair as his alleged murder-to-hire plot never happened.

In one tweet, Joe shared a screenshot of a news headline detailing Todd and Julie's presidential pardon alongside a message reaffirming his innocence. "I guess being innocent is not enough in America," he began, adding:

"They all admitted to perjury on world television, but yet I'm left to die of cancer before I can get any help. Why is it the entire world can see the evidence, but the White House refuses to acknowledge that they did this to me knowing that they were lying."

The TV Personality Says He Deserves To Be Pardoned

In another tweet, Joe implied he deserved Trump's mercy more than the Chrisley couple. He claimed many people credited him for helping them survive the COVID-19 pandemic, yet he was shunned by the president when it mattered most.

The media personality's plea for freedom continued with a video message to Trump, in which Joe claimed this was the perfect opportunity for the politician to support the people of his country. He stressed that he had enough evidence proving his innocence and could provide more if Trump needed it.

If his social media posts were insufficient in getting the president's attention, Joe also penned a formal letter lamenting Trump's decision to leave him behind bars.

Joe wasn't the only one disappointed in Trump, as his husband, Jorge Flores Maldonado, has been deported to Mexico. The Blast reported the latter was arrested by ICE officials last August after he was caught driving a car with six other undocumented immigrants across the Mexico-US border.

Jorge's run-in with the law had a silver lining as it sparked his romance with Joe. The pair fell head over heels for each other and did not let the language barrier stop their romance, with Joe learning Spanish while Jorge took English classes.

The lovebirds eventually took their relationship to the next level by saying their vows in prison. Their romance was cut short on May 17 when the ICE deported Jorge, leading to his desperate pleas to be pardoned and allowed to return to the States.
