Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been in federal custody since September 2024, when he was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering.

His ongoing legal woes have caused him to miss some monumental moments in his children's lives, including his twin daughters' prom and high school graduation.

According to a new source, Diddy reportedly feels "heartbroken" about his absence, and missing such a special occasion has him "fighting" even harder to be reunited with his family.

In a new report from Page Six, a source close to Diddy and his family shared with the publication that the rap mogul, who has been accused of coordinating elaborate orgies between male escorts and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, is devastated about missing his twin daughters' (Jessie and D'Lila) high school graduation.

“He was heartbroken not to be there for such a monumental moment in the twins’ lives — graduation and prom,” the source shared. “It meant everything to him."

The insider didn't stop there, though. They also revealed that Diddy's absence at some of his kids' biggest occasions has lit a fire underneath him, saying he is "fighting for his life and wants to get back to his family."

The twins' graduation ceremony isn't the only high-profile event the "Hello Good Morning" rapper was forced to sit out from.

On May 17, the rapper's daughters made headlines after turning heads at their high school prom in matching, bright red dresses.

As they were being escorted into the event at the Harbor House in Los Angeles, the 18-year-olds were asked why they arrived so late, to which they replied, "The party doesn't start until we walk in. Saved the best for last," according to PEOPLE.

Despite Diddy being unable to support his daughters the way he would've liked at their prom and graduation, that hasn't stopped most of his children from standing by him during his federal trial in New York City.

The star-studded family caused a lot of chatter at the start of Diddy's trial in early May 2025 when they arrived at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan United States Courthouse in Manhattan holding hands, ready to defend their father's name. However, not everybody was moved by their display of unity.

Aubrey O'Day, a former employee of Diddy and the lead singer of the former girl group Danity Kane, criticized the father of seven for allowing his children to be subjected to the graphic details and testimonies revealed throughout his ongoing trial.

“The fact that the kids are marching up to that court, praying over everything, and walking in with a bunch of women also that are encouraging it,” O'Day said. “I don’t know any father that would want their children to sit through testimony about how much their daddy liked to watch people [get] lubricated, f-cking, getting pissed on and urinated in their mouths, having his girlfriend come in the other room and rub their c-m all over his nipples."

As O'Day continued, she blasted the "Making The Band" creator for being a "selfish" father and admitted that having his children present was "concerning to me."

She added, “It’s telling to me. It means that [Diddy's] being selfish and he needs — in my opinion — it feels like, ‘Daddy needs you in court because daddy needs all the optics to look in his favor,’ and I don’t really care what you have to sit through."

Quincy Shares A Message Of Support For His Dad On Social Media

Diddy's children being present in court isn't surprising, however, especially considering Quincy Combs shared a message of support for his father on Instagram in October 2024.

Posing alongside his father, grandmother, and other family members, Quincy revealed that his family was supporting Diddy despite the "false narratives."

"We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD," he finished.
