JoJo Siwa Addresses Relationship Status After Kissing Chris Hughes

JoJo Siwa is still as single as a dollar bill!

The former child star has just laid all rumors running around about her and Chris Hughes being an item to rest once and for all.

JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes fueled relationship rumors following their interaction on "Celebrity Big Brother" and the eventual decline of her romantic relationship with her partner, Kath Ebbs.

Siwa directly clarified her relationship status with her co-star, confirming that she is not exclusively in a romantic relationship with him. The singer's explanation came in response to overwhelming speculation about the nature of their friendship after they got very close on Big Brother earlier this year. 

When Siwa was asked if Hughes was her boyfriend, she vehemently denied it, stating, "No." She explained that while they have shared many conversations, they have never made any exclusive commitments to each other.

"We have never gone into the kitchen. My head's not turning anyway," Siwa declared per Independent TV's Lorraine Peters. The reality TV star also used the chance to gush on her TV pal, describing him as "the best man" who would never disappoint him in any situation.

On their part, Siwa and Hughes have also escalated reports of a relationship between them since exiting the show. The duo were spotted together at Heathrow Airport on Sunday, May 25, as they prepared for the pop star's performance scheduled for the following night in the U.K. 

As stated by PEOPLE, Hughes appeared at the airport with a lovely bouquet of flowers, patiently waiting for the singer, who pulled up in a blue sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and a baseball hat.

The 22-year-old arrived at the airport with her mom, Jessalynn, and the two were photographed smiling and embracing as they left together. Five days before their airport sighting, Hughes posted heartfelt photos on Instagram from their vacation in Mexico, describing the past week as the "prettiest."

Siwa seemed at peace in one photo as she rested her head on his shoulder with a joyful smile. Siwa expressed her happiness in the comments, stating her heart was "overflowing."

The friends also shared various moments from their getaway, including cuddling on a couch and taking selfies. Siwa did not hold back on her end as she shared a collection of photos on her own Instagram.

The star reflected on her birthday week as "more magical than anything," filled with love, surprises, and cherished memories.

Siwa and Hughes's vacation did not end without them sealing things with a kiss by the poolside. As noted by The Blast, eyewitnesses at the hotel described them looking smitten with each other, with no cars in the world.

The rumored couple reportedly gave onlookers a show as they packed on intense PDA at the resort. At the hotel, they allegedly spent their time holding hands, radiating the joy and excitement of a new romance. 

The witnesses added that the couple's body language did not entirely stray from their conduct on the show.  Siwa reportedly appeared completely at ease and genuinely in love, which is a sharp contrast to her stage persona. The insider emphasized that they were "totally comfortable around each other."

As "CBB" drew its curtains, Siwa's 3-months-old relationship with Ebbs also came to an abrupt end. The reality left the Australian DJ feeling blindsided and utterly heartbroken. In a now-deleted TikTok video, Ebbs said:

"I honestly feel so numbed out right now and so disorientated [sic] that I feel like the only thing I have to do to place this situation is to finally address it after two weeks of sitting back, watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involved — who was, what I thought — one of the great loves of my life."

Ebba revealed that she initially thought Siwa's storyline with Hughes was for mere entertainment on the show. Instead, it became her worst nightmare.

She alluded to feeling betrayed by her ex's behavior on the show, reiterating that it was "probably one of the most craziest, intense, awful, horrific experiences" of her adult life.

Safe to say, the former couple did not end things on a friendly note. The dancer shared her side of the story, explaining that things got pretty intense at the "CBB" after-party after she ended things with Ebbs.

As noted by The Blast, her ex had initially planned to skip the party, but she eventually arrived very late. Things soon escalated between the estranged couple who got into a heated discussion.

Siwa added that her ex hurled hurtful words at her despite her wish not to have any emotional conversation at that venue. The former child star then emphasized her intention not to address more details about their relationship on any public platform based on Ebbs' requests.

However, the situation did not deter the former reality star from expressing her happiness with her current self, with plans to stay that way.

Whatever the arrangement between JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes is, the singer seems happy, and that is all that matters!
