Fans have shared differing thoughts after Selena Gomez praised Beyoncé on social media.
Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour is currently ongoing and has been graced and applauded by many celebrities who love her, and Gomez is undoubtedly one of them.
However, the "Fetish" singer's recent tribute has sparked a lively debate online, with some applauding the gesture and others questioning it.
Selena Gomez Praises Beyoncé

Gomez had nothing but special praise for Beyoncé on Sunday when she posted a tribute to the iconic singer on her Instagram Stories.
The 32-year-old shared a black-and-white photo that showed her wearing a cowboy hat covered in multiple stars. The hat also had "Cowboy Carter" written around its brim.
Gomez wore a dark T-shirt, dark lipstick, and accessorized with a pair of hoop earrings. She rocked a sleek bob hairstyle slicked back from her face.
The singer also flaunted her marquise-diamond engagement ring as she posed with a serious face for the snapshot.
In addition to her outfit paying homage to Beyoncé, Gomez's caption read, "To the queen B we praise," a special honor to the "Renaissance" songstress.
Fans React To Selena Gomez's Post About Beyoncé

Several online blogs reposted Gomez's post, and multiple fans took turns sharing their thoughts about her gesture toward Beyoncé.
On one hand, some loved it and prayed for a collaboration between the musicians. One fan who commented under a Pop Base repost of Gomez's post wrote, "Selena with Beyonce... a perfect combination."
Another person asked, "Selena and Bey collab when?" A third fan added, "One icon showing up for another. That's real queen energy right there."
Meanwhile, some fans thought Gomez resembled Madonna in the picture. One person wrote, "What genuinely thought that was Madonna...."
Another person with similar sentiments shared, "I thought that was Madonna."
Someone gushed about Gomez's engagement ring, writing, "That's a beautiful ring!"
Fans Question Selena Gomez's Praise For Beyoncé

The Shade Room also reposted Gomez's post, and several fans also shared their thoughts. However, some persons with religious inclinations question her for praising another human.
One person wrote, "ALL PRAISES DUE TO JESUS!" Another person with similar sentiments shared, "All my praises go to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the son of God."
A third person added, "Only God I serve is Jesus Christ. Why would I praise someone who was literally created to be on the same level as me?" A fourth wrote, "All praise due to Allah."
However, several people noted that the anger toward Gomez was unnecessary, as her praise for Beyoncé was just an appreciation of her accomplishments.
One person explained, "We respect her. We honor her. We give her her flowers for what she’s done. This what she means by 'praise.'" Another person asked, "Y'all never heard 'Give praise where praise is due' or 'Singing your praises' applied outside of religion?"
A third person shared the definition of praise, writing, "Praise definition: express warm approval or admiration of. Relax everybody," while a fourth added, "Y'all have never heard praise used outside of a religious context and it shows lmao please grab a dictionary ASAP. Never been praised at work or school for exceptional work?"

Selena Gomez has been showing love to her friends recently.
Early last week, she posted a stylish photo of Miley Cyrus, simply captioning it with the word "Everything" and a heart-eyes emoji.
Last Friday, Gomez shared two more clips. The first was a touching video from a fan account, showing her and Ariana Grande warmly hugging on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in February.
Over the video, Gomez wrote, "I'm reminded that women can always be supportive of each other. I love you Ari."
Taylor Swift's Words Strike Like A Chord For Gomez

Selena Gomez also spotlighted another close friend, Taylor Swift, by posting a black-and-white clip from the latter's 2021 Brit Awards acceptance speech.
The video, which had Swift’s song "Cardigan" playing in the background, highlighted some powerful words from the pop icon.
"There might be times when you put your whole heart and soul into something and it is met with cynicism or skepticism," Swift said in the speech. "You cannot let that crush you. You have to let it fuel you."
She continued, "Because we live in a world where anyone has the right to say anything that they want about you at any time. But just please remember that you have the right to prove them wrong."
Gomez reacted by adding an emoji of hands raised in celebration, a subtle but strong show of agreement with her longtime friend’s message.
