Jennifer Lopez Reveals Summer Plans To 'Celebrate Being Free' After Ben Affleck Divorce

Jennifer Lopez has opened up about her plans for the summer, and they are all about positivity.

In her own words, she is looking forward to "celebrating being free and happy," a sign that the pop icon is keen on moving on completely from her failed marriage to Ben Affleck.

During the summer, Jennifer Lopez will also be touring and headlining the World Pride Music Festival.

Jennifer Lopez is hyped up about the summer due to her getting back on the road as she embraces a fresh chapter of her life after her split from Ben Affleck.

Speaking with People Magazine, the singer shared that she was "excited to tour," referencing her "Up All Night: Live in 2025" tour, which features international dates in Europe and Asia.

But before the tour kicks off in July, the singer will first headline the World Pride Music Festival, which spans June 6-7.

"I'm excited first to go do Pride," the 55-year-old told the outlet about the event, which also features stars like Paris Hilton, Rita Ora, Tinashe, Galantis, and Marina.

She added, "I'm super excited about that. I'm working on that show right now, too, as we speak, and crafting the tour as well. I'm excited to get back out there."

Speaking further about her plans, Lopez noted how it would give her the opportunity to celebrate being single and enjoy being in the right place in her life.

"It seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy," the actress said. "Just everything in my life right now just feels really healthy and good."

"I'm ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time. That's always my goal," she added.

While getting the crowd singing and dancing is a big part of her summer plans, Lopez also intends to make time for her kids, even if that means bringing them along on the road.

"I think my kids are going to come to Pride because I'm doing more of a concert [at WorldPride], so I'm excited about that," said Lopez about her 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. "They're sweet. They're the best."

Ahead of the summer, Lopez will return to the American Music Awards as host 10 years after she first had the role.

In a chat with People, she reflected on the progression in her career and how it feels surreal that she has been involved in so many other editions of the award show, but as a performer.

"I've been part of this award show for so long and being part of the American music scene for so many years now, and I can't believe how many times I've actually performed on the American Music Awards. I think it's 10 times! Something crazy," the mother of two told the outlet.

She added, "I was seeing one of my very first performances the other day. We were just looking at it to see the progression of the stuff that we've done… It feels all like it was yesterday."

Aside from her role as host, Lopez will once again be performing at the event, which takes place on Monday, May 26, at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

While it remains unclear which songs she will perform, it's expected to be another high-energy performance that Lopez is known for, especially after she revealed she injured herself during rehearsals.

"I hurt my nose," the "This Is Me…Now" singer revealed earlier this month. "I hit it in rehearsal, and I had to get stitches. It was fine."

She added, "A few of us have gotten hurt in rehearsals. We're doing a very high-energy athletic number, so it's, I guess, bound to happen."

The singer later shared images showing a cut on her nose, along with another photo of her applying ice to the injury.

She also wrote on her Instagram Story that she's "good as new" after receiving stitches from her doctor.

Although they have settled their divorce, Affleck and Lopez are reportedly still at odds over how best to sell their sprawling $68 million Beverly Hills mansion, which has been on the market for nearly a year.

The ex-couple paid $60.8 million for the property in May 2023 after tying the knot the previous year.

However, at the height of speculations that their marriage had crashed, they listed the property for $68 million in July last year, having completed renovation works on it.

According to TMZ, sources have shared that the "Argo" actor is eager to reduce their asking price in a bid to attract potential buyers, but Lopez is totally against it.

The situation may leave the "Maid In Manhattan" actress scratching her head as some realtors told the news outlet that their $68 million evaluation is too high and that they'd need to reduce it by at least 15% if they want to sell it off.
