Chrissy Teigen Sparks Concern After Sharing Alarming New Photo With Face Bandages

Chrissy Teigen left fans alarmed and full of questions on Thursday after going live on her Instagram Stories, showing her face wrapped in beige bandages.

The 39-year-old model and TV personality appeared to be recovering from a recent cosmetic procedure, though she offered no explanation in the video, leaving followers speculating and concerned. The video showed Teigen with bandages around her cheeks and under her chin, prompting immediate buzz that the "Lip Sync Battle" host may have undergone some form of facial surgery.

Despite the wave of curiosity from fans, Chrissy Teigen has not publicly addressed the reason behind the photo.

In the screenshot, Teigen is lying down with her face partially covered in beige compression bandages, wrapping tightly around her cheeks, under her chin, and across the sides of her head. Her expression appears neutral or slightly fatigued, likely reflecting recovery from a cosmetic procedure.

She’s makeup-free, and the lighting is natural, emphasizing the raw, unfiltered moment.

The video has sparked concern and speculation from fans due to its medical appearance and lack of context.

While this post raised eyebrows, Teigen has long been open about her cosmetic procedures.

In past interviews, she admitted to having liposuction on her armpits, an unconventional procedure she once called “the dumbest, stupidest thing I’ve ever done,” but also confessed she had no regrets. “It made me feel better in dresses; I felt more confident,” she previously shared with Refinery29.

Though the results of that procedure weren’t permanent, Teigen noted she was considering doing it again. “Now it’s back though, so I’ve gotta pay for it again. It was so easy,” she said at the time.

Teigen has also revealed she underwent Botox injections, not for cosmetic reasons, but to relieve painful jaw tension.

She even took to Twitter to explain that the issue stemmed from constant clenching, which she half-jokingly blamed on President Donald Trump. “Pay my bill, POS POTUS,” she quipped.

She has had a long-standing feud with the current President, even branding Trump as a "p-ss a-- b-tch" after he mocked her husband John Legend as a "boring musician" and referred to her as his "filthy-mouthed" wife in a tweet.

Plus, last year, she took to Instagram Stories to respond to a medical professional who accused her of having facial fillers, a claim she firmly denies.

In a series of candid videos shared on June 8, 2024, Teigen questioned the credibility of the critic, saying, “Would you trust a doctor that couldn't tell filler from weight gain? I personally wouldn't.” She went on to defend her own physician, adding, “My doctor would never, ever hang out on Instagram and dissect people’s faces … he’s too busy working.”

Teigen continued her response in a follow-up video, expressing concern about the impact such public commentary can have on a person’s self-esteem.

“Those kinds of critiques only serve to make the person you’re talking about not want to smile and show their natural joy,” she said. “Because they think people are going to make fun of them. Maybe for their bone structure, their teeth, or their lips.”

The mother of four ended her message on a reflective note. “What does this really do, other than truly steal somebody else’s joy? Literally,” she asked. “So that stinks. And you aren’t a bad person, but what you said stinks, and maybe you’ll think about it from now on.”

One of her more surprising procedures? Eyebrow transplant surgery.

In a past reveal, Teigen explained that the process involved taking hair from the back of her head and implanting it along the shape of her brows to create a fuller, more natural look.

Earlier this year, Teigen got even more candid during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," where she confirmed she’s undergone three different breast surgeries over the years. “I’ve had a lift, a put in, a take them out,” she said. “I don’t like them out.”

She first shared her experience with breast implants in a 2020 interview with Glamour UK, revealing she initially got them at 20 years old to enhance her look for swimsuit modeling.

“It was more for a swimsuit thing,” Teigen said at the time. “I thought if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed.”
