Tom Brady may have stepped off the NFL field, but retirement might not be his final chapter after all.
Reports are swirling that the legendary quarterback is eyeing a return to the game. However, he is not after the Super Bowl this time, but Olympic gold.
If confirmed, Brady could suit up for Team USA's flag football debut at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, marking a stunning twist in his storied career.
Tom Brady Might Return To The Field In 2028

Flag football is set to make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Games. On Wednesday, NFL owners unanimously approved the participation of current and former players.
Following the news, an insider revealed that Tom Brady, who will be 50 when the games begin, was considering returning to the football game and leading Team USA in their quest for gold.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, the source said, "He wants a Gold medal. And what better way to remain the GOAT [greatest of all time] and return to the sport he loves, by helping his country win gold."
They added, "He knows he would be able to help and excel in that environment, and since his life is very much scheduled and has a tight regimen, so many things could fall into place for him around that time."
Tom Brady Has More In Store For Him Come 2028

Brady has been working as a TV commentator on Fox Sports since his retirement.
Although the role is worth $375 million over ten years, the insider said the dad of three has had an itch to play in the Olympics.
"Now granted, we are a few years removed, but nobody should ever tell Tom he can't do something, and what a story this would be. Since the NFL wants to make a splash in the Olympics, they can have their own Dream Team, and who better to lead them than the Greatest of all Time!" they said.
If selected, Tom Brady will play in the 2028 Olympics and be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction that same year.
The ceremony typically occurs during the first weekend of August, right after the Olympics wrap on July 30.
A gold medal followed by an induction would be an unforgettable final act for Brady.

The shocking update comes two years after Brady hung up his boots after 23 seasons in the NFL.
In a post shared on X, Brady revealed he was saying goodbye to the sport for good.
"Good morning, guys. I'll get to the point right away. I'm retiring. For good," he said. "I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record, and I'd let you guys know first. It won't be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year."
Brady thanked everyone who supported him throughout his career, including his competitors.
He appreciated them for allowing him to live his dream, adding, "I love you all."
Gisele Bündchen Says Divorce Wasn't Because Of Her Ex-Husband's Decision

Before signing out of the NFL, Tom Brady previously made a U-turn on his decision to retire 40 days after he first announced his retirement in 2022.
Following his change of heart, his 13-year marriage to Gisele Bündchen hit the rocks.
The divorce sparked rumors that their marriage ended due to Brady's decision to continue playing professional football past a time the model was comfortable with.
However, Bündchen slammed the rumors, noting that she always rooted for Brady's success and happiness.
"If there's one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it's him, believe me," she added. "I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That's what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart," she said in a chat with Vanity Fair.
The 44-year-old attributed their divorce to them growing apart and wanting different things.

One year after their divorce, Bündchen found love again in the arms of Joaquim Valente.
A few months into their relationship, reports confirmed that the mom of three was expecting a baby with her new boyfriend, which reportedly left Brady "stunned."
A source also told PEOPLE Magazine that Bündchen was "excited to embrace the new chapter openly."
In February 2025, the supermodel and Valente welcomed their bundle of joy and have since been navigating parenthood very well.
Meanwhile, Tom Brady is reportedly struggling to date as he moves on from the sting of Bündchen's new romance.
