On Thursday, Megan Thee Stallion's legal team released a new report detailing that no new evidence would exonerate Lanez despite the rapper's legal team and fans calling for his release.

The 31-page document, headed by Megan's attorney, Alex Spiro, countered the "unsworn rumors being spread as fact."

"Despite Mr. Lanez being convicted at trial by overwhelming evidence (that included his own admission of his guilt), he and his team — flanked by any ignorant person they can find — have pushed whatever misleading narrative they can," Spiro said.

He also dismissed claims that Bradley James, the former driver and bodyguard of Megan's former best friend, Kelsey Harris, witnessed the crime or was present at the crime scene.

"One by one, their misleading statements unravel, and all that is left is the simple truth: he was convicted by overwhelming evidence, and those who seek to traumatize the victim of the crime should be called out as foolish bullies," Spiro added.

In addition to refuting the claims from Lanez's legal team, the report also contained evidence proving that the detained rapper was indeed the shooter.

They released a PowerPoint laying out the evidence as it was presented in court during the 2022 trial.

Among the compelling pieces of evidence was a text from Lanez to Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020, apologizing for shooting her.

In addition, the PowerPoint revealed that DNA experts established that there was a 90% chance that a man fired the gun.

Thirdly, there was no new ring camera footage of the incident.

According to the report, the only ring camera footage had already been played for the jury in court, and it captured the sound of five gunshots.

Tory Lanez's Team Makes New Claims

The response from Megan Thee Stallion's legal team comes days after Lanez's legal team held a press conference and released an alleged statement from James, who claimed to be an eyewitness.

James claimed that he overheard Harris saying she fired the gun three times before Lanez intervened and grabbed her arm. James said this caused the firearm to be discharged two more times.

His statement aligned with an earlier testimony from witness Sean Kelly, who claimed they saw two women fighting, followed by two men intervening.

James revealed he wanted to say something as his conscience wouldn't let him sit back and watch Lanez serve time for a crime he didn't commit.

Megan Thee Stallion Responds To Critics

Following Lanez's legal team's new claims, fans began criticizing Megan, with many accusing her of lying. The constant bullying forced the 30-year-old to speak up and defend herself.

In a lengthy write-up on TikTok, the "Mamushi" crooner slammed the critics and asked them to leave her alone.

"At what point are y'all gonna stop making me have to re-live being shot BY TORY!? At what point are Tory and y'all FANS gonna stop lying? Like, how much is the check to keep harassing me? Why is this happening EVERY DAY??" she wrote.

Megan maintained that Lanez shot her, and she had no reason to lie against him, as it had been proven in court that he was guilty.

"TORY PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE you a f-cking demon. I'm off this silly a-s internet sh-t, BYE," she concluded.

Tory Lanez Moved To Another Prison

Amid the Megan Thee Stallion controversy, Lanez is on his way to making a full recovery. Last week, he sustained 14 injuries after he was brutally stabbed in prison by fellow inmate Santino Casio.

Following the violent act, Lanez was rushed to the hospital, where he received treatment until his condition stabilized.

In the wake of the incident, Lanez's father, Sonstar Peterson, confirmed that his son had been moved to another correctional facility.

"But he's being moved because it's a part of the prison's protocol that when a situation like this happens, I think they believe it's better for him to be in another facility, and so he's being moved as we speak," he said on NewsNation's "CUOMO."

However, Peterson said his family was concerned about Lanez's safety, considering his high-profile status and recent experience, which he had yet to recover from.
