On Wednesday, a legal analyst posted a video on her Instagram page @theluncheonlawyer criticizing Lanez’s team for handling supposed new evidence in the press rather than presenting it in court.
Shortly after the video was posted, the comments section was filled with thousands of people airing their thoughts, and SZA wasn’t left out.
In a powerful comment, the 35-year-old made her stance clear, slamming the fans who had been bullying Megan Thee Stallion.
“The density !!!!! I’m actually SO shocked at the amount of people fully comfortable bullying a woman that’s proven to be a victim of assault. Like out loud where other people can see you ?? Lmao you finna be stupid OUTLOUD?” SZA wrote in the “Hot Girl Summer” crooner’s defense.
Her words quickly gained traction, with many fans praising her for standing up for Megan.
Megan Defends Herself Amid Criticism

SZA’s comments came shortly after Megan Thee Stallion defended herself against the constant harassment following Lanez’s stabbing and new claims that he was innocent.
“At what point are yall gonna stop making me have to re live being shot BY TORY!? At what point are Tory and yall FANS gonna stop lying? Like how much is the check to keep harassing me? Why is this happening EVERY DAY??” the 30-year-old wrote in a lengthy write-up on TikTok.
She went on to express how tired she was of being constantly bullied. According to Megan, Lanez knew he shot her and wouldn’t lie about it on the stand.
The rapper went on, revealing that she did not need to lie on Lanez, adding that he was proven guilty in court.
“FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT f-ck the hate campaign on the internet TORY YOU SHOT ME!!” she continued.
In her final words, Megan Thee Stallion said there wasn’t any evidence, after which she called the imprisoned rapper a demon. “TORY PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE you a f-cking demon. I’m off this silly -ss internet sh-t, BYE,” she finished.

Hours later, fellow rapper Azealia Banks called out Megan Thee Stallion over her outburst. Taking to X, the "Luxury" crooner accused Megan of overreacting and stirring up drama while Lanez remained hospitalized in jail.
Banks questioned the logic and timing behind Megan’s statement, noting, “Sis, Tory is in a jail hospital, probably knocked out on a sedative and pain meds trying to heal. When did HE say anything?”
She shared that Lanez hadn’t even given fans an update on his health. According to Banks, there was no way even to know if he was still alive, as there were no photos or words from his family.
“Girl, – is that DEVILS in your head making you spazz like this? If I were you I would caaaalllmmm dowwn. You’re making the block hot. Shhhh @theestallion,” she wrote.

The criticism Megan Thee Stallion has been facing intensified after Unite the People (UTP), a nonprofit that champions social justice and legal advocacy, held a conference and shared a statement from Bradley James, the driver and bodyguard of Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Harris.
In the statement per The Blast, James alleged he overheard Harris admitting to firing the shots that injured Megan. According to James, during a conversation he overheard, Harris stated she fired the gun three times, after which Lanez intervened by grabbing her arm, causing the weapon to discharge two additional times.
James emphasized that Lanez never touched or fired the weapon. This account aligned with earlier testimony from witness Sean Kelly, who reported seeing two women fighting, followed by two men intervening.
James, who was not bound by any non-disclosure agreements, expressed a desire to come forward, stating his conscience wouldn’t allow him to remain silent while Lanez served time for a crime he believes Lanez didn’t commit.

The new evidence was made public days after Lanez was stabbed in prison by fellow inmate Santino Casio while the rapper was serving his 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
According to a statement shared on his Instagram page, Lanez was stabbed 14 times and sustained injuries on multiple parts of his body, including his back and the back of his head.
Although he had to be placed on a breathing device initially due to both of his lungs collapsing, the statement revealed Lanez was breathing on his own.
Further reports indicated that the 32-year-old returned to the prison’s hospital days later as his condition stabilized.
