Skai Jackson Files Restraining Order With Terrorizing Claims Against Her Baby Daddy

Skai Jackson wants to see less of her baby daddy, Deondre Burgin!

The former Disney star has approached the appropriate authorities to help her temporarily put her boyfriend away after alleged episodes of physical assault by him.

Skai Jackson's baby daddy was previously arrested last month following an existing misdemeanor warrant from Ohio issued after he ran into license plate troubles in March and also missed a court date.

Jackson has now accused the father of her baby of subjecting her to abuse for over a year, with a recent alleged assault on Mother's Day. The most recent attack has prompted her to seek a restraining order in Los Angeles County Superior Court. 

In her court documents, Jackson claims that during this incident, Burgin attacked her while she was holding their three-month-old son, Kasai, pulling her hair, slamming her head against a car window, and punching her in the face.

Jackson also details a pattern of violence, including a six-month period in 2024 in which she alleges Burgin abused her weekly. He reportedly employed physical violence such as choking and scratching, and damaging her personal property, like her iPhone and television. 

As shared by TMZ, in her restraining order filing, she recounts disturbing incidents during her pregnancy. The rapper allegedly ordered her to drink bleach to terminate the pregnancy and actively threatened to stab her in the belly if she screamed for help.

On another occasion last summer, he allegedly broke through a locked bathroom door, assaulted her, and choked her until she could not breathe, a claim for which she says she has video evidence.

Concerned for her safety, especially given that the rapper reportedly owns multiple firearms, Jackson has requested that the court impose a 100-yard distance between him and herself, as well as their child and her pet. 

Additionally, she is seeking legal child support and for the rapper to cover her legal fees. The actress is also requiring her former partner to attend a domestic violence treatment program to make him a better person.

As The Blast noted, Burgin has faced multiple legal issues, most recently being arrested last month due to an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody on April 17 at a gas station in Kentucky after a police officer recognized him from the National Crime Information Center database.

Upon his arrest, he was held on a $25,000 bond. His warrant originated from Hamilton County, Ohio, when he failed to display a license plate on his vehicle and subsequently missed his court date.

This arrest followed a previous 90-day jail sentence for a parole violation linked to earlier charges of theft and weapon possession as a juvenile. Complicating matters, he missed the birth of his child in January while serving his sentence.

However, a family source indicated that Jackson, despite the challenges, is excited about motherhood and is determined to be the best parent and role model she can be.

The rapper has had previous unfriendly encounters with law enforcement, as highlighted by a viral video from last year that captured a chaotic scene during his arrest.

Eyewitnesses reported that he narrowly avoided being struck by a vehicle while fleeing from the police. The footage showed two officers struggling to subdue him, ultimately pinning him to the ground after a brief struggle.

While awaiting backup, one officer restrained Burgin with a knee on his back until a third officer arrived to assist. According to the official arrest report, he was wanted for a juvenile parole violation and attempted to evade capture.

The pursuit concluded with Burgin falling and sustaining a minor cut on his cheek, though he did not sustain any serious injuries.

The former child star also had her fair share of legal troubles last year when she was involved in a domestic violence incident at Universal CityWalk.

The actress reportedly got into a public argument with the upcoming rapper three months before she announced her pregnancy with him. Authorities were called to the scene, but the couple insisted they were merely engaged and awaiting a child, denying that any conflict had occurred. 

However, surveillance footage showed the actress pushing her boyfriend, which led to her arrest. Despite this evidence, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office opted not to file charges. The D.A. cited insufficient evidence for a trial and taking into account her clean criminal record and her boyfriend's support.

On January 26, 2025, Jackson finally announced the joyful arrival of her newborn on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt photo of herself holding the baby's tiny hands.

In the caption, she revealed that she had named the baby "Kasai." While she did not disclose the baby's gender or date of arrival, her post received an overwhelming outpouring of love and congratulatory messages from friends and fans.
