Tom Cruise Loudly Cheers Ana de Armas' Movie as Insider Says He's Falling Hard

Tom Cruise has never shied away from showing his enthusiasm, especially when it comes to his close friends and colleagues.

Recently, the Hollywood superstar made the headlines not just for his projects but for loudly cheering on actress Ana de Armas and her latest film.

According to a source, Cruise’s support is more than just professional admiration. Reportedly, he’s genuinely falling hard for the talented actress.

On Thursday, Tom Cruise attended a press event to promote his movie "Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning."

During the event, the actor left many talking when he gushed about Ana de Armas’ upcoming movie "Ballerina."

In an Instagram video from the London premiere of his movie, Cruise stood alongside Spanish producer and actor Javier Ibarreche while discussing de Armas' spinoff in the "John Wick" franchise starring Keanu Reeves.

“I saw the movie. It just kicks -ss. Oh, man, it’s right in that tone. It’s right in that big world. You’re going to love it,” he said.

Cruise’s comments about de Armas’s movie aren’t surprising, as rumors that the duo are dating have been making the rounds lately.

While the movie stars have not confirmed any romance news, an insider has claimed they are already dating.

“It’s still low-key, still new and in the early stages. Their romance is definitely on the down low,” the insider told Us Weekly.

They revealed that Cruise and de Armas met through Hollywood’s circles over the years, but mutual friend Penelope Cruz helped start their alleged relationship.

“Penelope put in a good word for her both personally and professionally,” they said. Following the alleged link-up, the insider said the 62-year-old was “super smitten” with de Armas, and it developed into feelings.

They said Cruise and de Armas had gone out on dates and kept everything private. “They’ve gone out on some dates and it’s very low-key. It’s in the early stages and he’s been courting her,” they added.

While Tom Cruise is reportedly head over heels for de Armas, the Cuban-Spanish actress is said to be treading cautiously.

“She isn’t looking for anything to move too fast, she’s taking it really slow,” the source shared,” the source said.

Recall that in 2024, the 37-year-old was photographed kissing and holding hands with Manuel Anido Cuesta, the step-son of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez.

Considering that things didn’t last between her and Cuesta, the insider said de Armas had decided to take her time. They also noted that she didn’t want public scrutiny, hence her decision to remain private.

“She doesn’t like the public attention. With [ex-boyfriend] Ben Affleck, that’s one of the things she didn’t like,” the insider said, adding that her preference for privacy is “one of the things Tom likes about her.”

Amid the dating rumors, de Armas hasn’t stayed quiet about her relationship with the Oscar-winning actor.

Recently, she appeared on "Good Morning America" to promote her upcoming movie. During her interview, she was asked about working with Cruise.

“It’s so much fun. We’re definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one, but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited,” she replied, per Page Six.

The interview wasn’t the first time she gushed about the icon. In a 2023 interview with USA Today, de Armas applauded the actor’s commitment to doing his own stunts.

She said she was trying to do the same in her movies, though she was “not at a Tom Cruise level yet.”

“But I can appreciate what he does 100% now, and I totally get why he does it,” she said. “He’s so mind-blowing.”

Cruise and de Armas first sparked dating rumors in February 2025 after they were spotted out together during a night out in the Soho area of London.

The following month, the dating rumors intensified when they were seen together again.

The second time, outlets shared photos of the actors arriving via helicopter at the London Heliport on March 15. Cruise and de Armas kept it casual and appeared in high spirits during the outing.

In the following weeks, the stars kept hanging out together, even for de Armas’s 37th birthday on April 13.

Now, many are convinced their relationship is more than platonic. However, nothing is certain until a confirmation is released.
