Brianna LaPaglia Is 'Tapping Into My Bisexual Era' Months After Blindsiding Break Up

Brianna LaPaglia is casting her net wide in the dating pool with style!

The podcaster is taking moving on from her controversial split from ex, Zach Bryan, seriously, and that includes trying out bisexual dates and wardrobe options.

Brianna LaPaglia and Zach Bryan ended their barely two-year-old romance in October 2024 after the country musician broke the news on Instagram. The development left the YouTuber going through the motions very publicly.

The 25-year-old host of the "BFFs" podcast recently opened up about her transformative journey following her breakup with Bryan last year. 

At the launch party for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2025 on Thursday, she shared that she is embracing a new chapter in her life, marked by experimentation with her style. LaPaglia expressed excitement about taking fashion risks and exploring her androgynous side.

The star mentioned how this phase of self-discovery has led her to embrace her bisexuality. Per Page Six, her new phase includes going on dates with women and trying out looks she previously felt hesitant to wear. 

Among her fashion experiments, she enthusiastically highlighted her newfound love for jorts, saying she now feels comfortable wearing them just like everyone else. She described the experience as fun and enlightening, allowing her to learn more about her personal style.

Earlier in the year, The Blast shared that the podcaster expressed her frustrations with romantic relationships with men, leading her to consider exploring connections with women.

Still processing her unexpected breakup with Bryan, she shared with her "BFFs" podcast co-host, Josh Richards, that she feels content in her single life. LaPaglia revealed that she has previously explored same-sex dating, suggesting it aligns better with her romantic preferences.

She candidly mentioned, "I think that they're better, so maybe I really am fully a lesbian," reflecting on the challenges she faced in her relationships with men. Open to new experiences, she plans to take her time and wait until at least summer to look for a new partner.

The podcast host kicked off the year with a striking magazine cover, showcasing her impressive physique in a tan two-piece. The photoshoot represented a significant personal journey for LaPaglia, who described it as a redemption arc following her tumultuous experience with Bryan.

She expressed that the photos were more than just a display of her looks; they signified her reclaiming her identity, body, and the choices she makes as a woman.

LaPaglia stated that the images are a powerful statement about taking control of her life, asserting, "This is my body; my body isn't that experience." She acknowledged that although she is not fully where she wants to be yet, she is proud of who she is.

The shoot was also an opportunity for LaPaglia to assert her boldness in the face of her past, aiming to send a clear message to Bryan. With a touch of defiance, she referred to it as her "favorite f-ck you," expressing her excitement about showcasing her independence and creativity on the digital cover.

As shared by The Blast, LaPaglia and her musician boyfriend appeared to have had a disconnect during their breakup discussion last year. 

After announcing their split on social media, LaPaglia expressed her shock and feelings of being blindsided. She took to her Instagram Story to share her intention to step away from social media for a while to heal privately. 

In her message, she emphasized her love for her fans and assured them that she would return to share more about the situation. Meanwhile, Bryan also announced their breakup to his fans via his Instagram Story, marking the end of their one-year relationship.

LaPaglia and the country artist first crossed paths at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2023, where LaPaglia requested a photo with Bryan. At that time, both were in relationships, although LaPaglia's boyfriend was not present at the event.

Shortly after, Bryan announced his breakup, and by June, he and LaPaglia were sharing the stage for a performance. LaPaglia later confirmed their budding relationship on her podcast "PlanBri Uncut," noting that while they intended to keep things private, the increasing speculation compelled them to address it. 

She described their relationship as fun and casual, expressing her happiness and openness to seeing where it leads. By February 2024, the couple made their red carpet debut at the Grammys, where LaPaglia dazzled in a black dress from Undone by Kate while Bryan looked sharp in a black suit and bow tie. 

That night was particularly special for Bryan, who won his first Grammy, with LaPaglia cheering him on from the audience. The couple's public appearance followed LaPaglia's response to the negative comments she received after revealing their relationship on her podcast.
