The scene in question? When Paul's family invited her ex and baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen to family BBQ and things got heated. At one point in the scene, her stepfather points the blame at Paul, in perhaps an unfair way. And after calling herself "trash" to her family, she's now making sure her fans and followers know that their family dynamic isn't exactly as it appeared.

It was a tough scene to watch, especially for any fan who can relate, so it must have been a tough scene for Paul and her family to relive as they watched the new season together. As Paul fully understands that, she took to her Instagram Story to share her perspective.

"I know this is a harsh scene. Believe me when I say my FAMILY is my biggest support system. There was a lot going on and emotions were heightened," she wrote.

"They have held me at my lowest EVERY TIME. Hard moment for us all. I love them [heart emoji] we all cried watching. I promise they are the ones always here for me."

What exactly happened in the scene? Paul's stepfather made a heated remark about the fact that she shouldn't have slept with Mortensen before they were in a committed relationship.

His exact words - "What does that say about you?" which had Paul responding, "That's what I'm saying, I was trash."

And it wasn't just her stepfather who took Mortensen's side, despite the truth coming out about his cheating. Paul's brother also took his side and encouraged Paul to reconcile with Mortensen. Paul's mom also chimed in to suggest that the generation just throws relationships away too easily. Paul's sister, Aspen, appeared to be the only one who agreed with Paul that the two of them should stay separated at this time.

"Stayed home today taking care of my sick kiddos, wish I could have made it to couple watch parties with MomTok for those that support, but thank you to everyone for the hype on our 2nd season, thank you for watching and for those that have been here through my lowest times till now," she wrote.

TikTok Is Talking About The BBQ Scene And Taylor Frankie Paul's Family Dynamic

TikTok content creator, @jordycray, who's content focus is, "politely messy take on pop culture," talked about the infamous BBQ scene in a recently shared video.

"While I appreciate Taylor's transparency, she has a weird relationship with her family," he said. "I get all families are different, but they are too close."

He continued to explain the scene - that Paul and Mortensen were discussing their "sex life" with the family present, and the fact that her stepfather basically said she "shouldn't be a whore."

"That comment was a bit harsh, but Taylor, you walked yourself right into that one by inviting your family into your problems," he continued.
