The Pro Dancer Allegedly Lost Too Much To His Ex's False Domestic Violence Claims

The contents of the former couple's divorce settlement were unveiled three months after Chigvintsev doubled down on Garcia lying about her domestic violence claims.

The Blast shared that he addressed his grievances on the "Glamorous Grind" podcast in February, stressing that the allegations negatively impacted him.

According to Chigvintsev, his reputation endured severe damage even though the district attorney did not charge him for the alleged crime. He allegedly lost $100,000 in earnings after his August 2024 arrest, losing dancing gigs and TV appearances as many refused to associate with him.

Chigvintsev Was Allegedly Dropped From 'DWTS'

Following his arrest last year, Chigvintsev filed a complaint to the Napa Superior Court over his loss of income. He alleged that Garcia was wrong about him being unable to find dancing jobs, stressing that he only failed to be hired after her "false allegations."

The dancer claimed the negative rep he received from the incident saw him being removed from the "DWTS" website faculty list. Additionally, Chigvintsev allegedly lost revenue from social media promotions, a benefit he noted his former partner continues to enjoy.

Chigvintsev accused Garcia of prioritizing her career over his when she allegedly provided false information to the police. Based on these arguments, he demanded compensation for his out-of-pocket expenses, claiming that her temporary restraining order against him was granted without sufficient evidence.

The Russian-Born Entertainer Insisted On His Innocence

Chigvintsev refused to accept the outcome of the domestic violence incident, repeatedly insisting on his innocence and blaming Garcia as the real aggressor in their marriage. His attorney, Ilona Antonyan, echoed similar sentiments in a statement.

The legal rep stressed that Chigvintsev was the one who called the authorities for protection against his then-wife on August 29, 2024. Antonyan alleged Garcia could be heard during the call accusing the dancer of attempting to sabotage her career by involving the police.

"She is the one with the temper. I try to stay quiet and avoid it. She yells, and on 8/29/24, was yelling, pursuing me, and was the one who attacked me," Chigvintsev said about the domestic violence incident.

He also supported his claims with pictures of bruising and bloody scratches on his elbow, hands, and behind his ear.
