JoJo Siwa’s Ex Addresses Grooming Claims And Shocking Breakup Details

JoJo Siwa’s ex-partner, Kath Ebbs, is finally speaking out after their surprising breakup and serious grooming allegations surfaced.

The split caught many off guard, and fans have been left wondering what really happened behind the scenes.

In a new interview, Ebbs shared personal details about their relationship and denied the allegations, calling them “laughable.”

Ebbs hasn’t been in the best place since their breakup with JoJo Siwa, and they left it all out in a tearful interview.

During an emotional discussion on their “Conversations With Kath” podcast, Ebbs furiously addressed the allegations that she groomed Siwa during their relationship due to the six-year age gap.

“I'm not laughing about the idea of grooming, I'm laughing at the idea that people would seriously say that, it really minimises the seriousness of that,” they said, per Toofab.

Ebbs went on to reveal that the unnecessary chatter regarding their age difference was a result of misogyny.

“In terms of the conversation around our age-gap, we see men [like] Leonardo DiCaprio, he dates women notoriously half his age and younger. So I think there is misogyny at play,” they said.

During the interview, the actress explained the events leading to their breakup, which happened after Siwa’s stint on “Celebrity Big Brother.”

Ebbs said that before the show's finale, they suffered a meltdown after seeing a clip of Siwa in bed with “Love Island” star Chris Hughes.

As a result, they were reluctant to attend the final, but after much persuasion from their family, they gave in. At the “CBB” final, Ebbs said they did not appear on camera to keep their relationship with Siwa sacred.

“As soon as she was off camera, the welfare team took her straight to the room that I was in because I watched it on TV, but I was just in a room. We hugged and we said, ‘oh my God hi.…’ We hugged, we kissed... we just, like, held each other for ages. And I think I was crying. And then I did say at one point, ‘are we good like this?’ And she was like, ‘yeah.’ And then I was like, great, and then we kissed, she was obviously like very spun out. She'd just been in this crazy thing,’” Ebbs recalled.

Everything seemed to be fine between the former couple, or so Ebbs thought.

In another video, the 27-year-old said they decided to attend the wrap party after being conflicted, but was stunned when JoJo Siwa ended their relationship.

“I flew across the world to support and be there and hold that person in whatever they would be experiencing, leaving such a wild experience, and instead, I was dumped at the afterparty, with Chris [Hughes] in the next room,” Ebbs said.

According to them, JoJo Siwa said she had confused feelings and realized in the “CBB” house that Ebbs wasn’t the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

“Which has honestly been … so shocking that I feel kind of subhuman right now. I feel incredibly humiliated, and I feel a bit embarrassed,” they added.

Siwa’s flirty relationship with Hughes raised eyebrows for various reasons. For one, she was publicly known to be dating Ebbs. Also, the dancer had revealed she was a lesbian before joining the show.

It wasn’t surprising when fans came at Siwa, calling her sexuality fake.

However, the 21-year-old didn’t stay silent. In Us Weekly’s digital cover story, she said sexual fluidity was something many people didn’t understand.

“Sexuality is a spectrum and sexuality is so, so fluid,” she explained. “People saying that my sexuality has been fake is actually crazy and a discredit to my life that I’ve had since I fell in love with my first girl,” she said.

Before the conversation with Us Weekly, JoJo Siwa had denounced her sexuality as a lesbian. In a private chat with “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Danny Beard, she described herself as queer.

“I feel so queer. I've never - I think I've always told myself I'm a lesbian. I think you - I think being here - I've realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer. And I think that's really cool, I'm switching letters! I've dropped the L and I've gone to the Q baby! That's what I love about sexuality,” she said per the Daily Mail.

Since her revelations, fans are now wondering if the actress will take on another sexuality in the future, considering she also came out as pansexual in 2021.
