Chris Brown's infamy continues to plague him as a two-year-old case sparks his most recent arrest.
The hip-hop-influenced R&B singer is no stranger to making headlines for his allegedly aggressive behavior, and he is back making waves for similar crimes. His trip to the UK was cut short after authorities slapped cuffs on him for a 2023 incident.
The drama stemmed from an alleged violent crime involving Chris Brown attacking music producer Abe Diaw. The incident marks one of the many lawsuits and assault allegations against the entertainer, with his most infamous case being his 2009 clash with Rihanna.
Chris Brown Now Locked Up For A 2023 Incident

According to new reports, Met Police detectives arrested Brown just after 2 am at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester. He was held in custody over his allegedly violent encounter with Diaw at the famous Tape nightclub in Mayfair, Central London, in February 2023.
The Met confirmed Brown's arrest in a statement, noting: "A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, May 15 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been taken into custody, where he remains."
"The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on February 19, 2023. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit," the statement continued.
The Sun confirmed that authorities arrested Brown hours after he flew into Manchester Airport on a private jet yesterday afternoon.
Inside The Alleged Incident Between The Singer And The Music Producer

In his lawsuit, Diaw accused Brown of launching an unprovoked attack against him at around 3 am while the singer and his entourage were at the Tape nightclub. The music producer accused the "Under the Influence" hitmaker of smashing a bottle on his head.
Diaw claimed Brown also punched and kicked him as he lay on the floor, telling the outlet: "He hit me over the head two or three times. My knee collapsed as well." The alleged victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but unfortunately needed crutches to walk when he was discharged.
The music producer retaliated by filing a civil claim against Brown for $16 million(£12 million) in damages for injuries and losses suffered because of his alleged aggression. Brown's arrest could not have happened at a worse time, as he is currently on a worldwide tour.
Brown Is No Stranger To Legal Troubles

Brown's recent arrest may negatively impact his tour as he is scheduled to perform on 10 more dates in Britain next month. However, the show may proceed regardless of a police investigation given the entertainer's infamous rap sheet.
The R&B singer is no stranger to legal troubles, as he has faced several incidents. His problems with the law started in 2009 after he physically attacked his then-girlfriend Rihanna during an argument, leaving the "Umbrella" hitmaker with severe facial injuries.
The incident became an unforgettable stain on Brown's record, as he was charged with felony assault and accused of making criminal threats on March 5, 2009. He pleaded guilty and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five-year probation, and domestic violence counseling, per PEOPLE.
More About The Entertainer's Alleged Aggressive Incidents

Two years after his plea deal, Brown sparked backlash for allegedly having a meltdown during an interview with Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America." Reports claimed he became enraged after his 2009 incident with Rihanna was mentioned and took his anger out on his dressing room.
He was accused of throwing a chair at a window overlooking Times Square, confronting several members of the show's production staff, and leaving the building shirtless. Brown's troubles continued in June 2012 when he and his entourage reportedly got into a tussle with Drake at a New York City nightclub.
In January 2013, Brown allegedly clashed with singer-songwriter Frank Ocean outside a West Hollywood recording studio over a parking space. He was accused of punching the latter and threatening to shoot him, according to an incident report. However, Ocean refused to press charges.
Chris Brown Filed A $500 Million Lawsuit Against Warner Bros.

A month before his arrest, The Blast reported that Brown had filed a $500 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. over their documentary, "Chris Brown: A History of Violence." The singer argued the show defamed him by painting him negatively, but producers begged to differ.
Warner Bros. denied defaming Brown with their documentary, stressing that the program showcased objective evidence of the singer's poor conduct. They highlighted his felony assault on Rihanna, reminding the entertainer of his guilty plea and court-ordered counseling.
Additionally, showrunners shared reports detailing Brown's alleged aggressive behavior and infamy with the law, arguing that it fell within the First Amendment.
They argued that "these exhibits" of news articles and other media "demonstrate that the Complaint arises from acts in furtherance of Defendants' free speech rights."
