Alexandra Truwit Sizzles In Black

Truwit showed off her rock-hard abs while working the camera in a tiny black bikini featuring a top with cut-outs on its triangle cups. Its straps that went over her shoulders helped accentuate her toned arms.

Below, the athlete's matching bikini bottoms boasted extremely high leg cuts that bared more skin. The low-rise fit allowed Truwit to flaunt her taut tummy.

Abs On Display

In the picture, Truwit worked the camera by leaning on a pillar with one leg forward. She looked straight into the lens as she flipped her hair away from her face.

A swipe to the right showed Truwit flashing her perky backside while rocking a white bikini that left little to the imagination. The blonde beauty had the photo shoot on the beach as the waves crashing into shore filled up the blurry background.

SI Swimsuit Debut

SI Swimsuit captioned the post: "World, meet Ali Truwit — Paralympian and SI Swimsuit's newest athlete who will be gracing the pages of the 2025 issue!"

The magazine continued, "@alitruwit is no stranger to adversity. Shortly after successfully completing a four-year degree at Yale University, where she was a member of the swimming and diving team, the athlete was the victim of a shark attack in Turks and Caicos," adding, "Fast forward just over a year—and a few Para swimming competitions—later, she had qualified for the Paris Games where she took home two silver medals in the 400-meter freestyle and the 100-m backstroke. Needless to say, her story is simply inspiring, and we're sharing more at the link in our bio."

Opening Up About The Shark Attack

When Truwit swam for Yale University, she lost her leg in a shark attack while snorkeling in the Turks and Caicos. In her SI Swimsuit debut interview, the athlete opened up about the harrowing moment, as well as her recovery and healing journey.

"When the shark attack and amputation first happened, there was a lot of media interest in my story. There was a lot of misinformation out there as a result of waiting eight months to share my story," she said. "And I really wanted to correct the narrative that [Sophie Pilkinton, Truwit's former Yale swimming teammate] and I saved ourselves. We fought a shark, we swam 70 yards—me, footless and bleeding—back to a boat. We saved ourselves. And that was such a healing thought to me. That I could take this bad thing that happened to me and use it for good."

Truwit continued, "When I first came out of the hospital, I had just become an amputee for the rest of my life, as a 23-year-old girl. To think that now, 17 months later, I'm sitting here, on the beach and in the pool, posing in my prosthetic in a swimsuit for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is just a moment that gives me chills."
