'1000-Lb Sisters' Amy Slaton Follows Sister's Romance Lead As She Unveils Engagement

It is raining romance in the Slaton household, and Amy Slaton just joined the train! 

The "1000-Lb Sisters" star has taken the first step towards spending eternity with her boyfriend, Brian Scott Lovvorn, in an intimate proposal ceremony a few months after they began their relationship.

Amy Slaton's engagement comes months after she was arrested at a Tennessee zoo alongside her now-fiancé for keeping harmful substances in her car with kids as occupants.

Amy got engaged to Brian after just five months of dating, with the special moment captured on the family's TLC show. Brian's proposal happened inside a unique padded room at Henderson Haunts' haunted house in Henderson, Kentucky, during a winter filming in 2024. 

Amy's sisters, Tammy Slaton and Misty Slaton Wentworth, were present to witness the heartfelt proposal. Interestingly, Amy mentioned that Brian first playfully slipped a green apple Ring Pop onto her finger while asleep two weeks into their relationship. 

Amy expressed her surprise and excitement, jokingly stipulating that the real proposal must occur in a haunted house on Halloween. During the proposal, Amy claimed that Brian shared, "My love for you is crazy, it's scary how compatible we are," echoing their matching tattoos that read "Scary love." 

As noted by In Touch, he presented her with a distinctive engagement ring shaped like two skeleton hands forming a heart, foregoing traditional diamonds.

The lovebirds are eager to have a brief engagement and a "small, quaint" wedding to seal the deal. They envision their special day on Halloween and are currently in the planning stages, working out details like the wedding party, venue, dress, and flowers. 

Amy is excited about calling Brian her husband and believes their marriage will be everlasting, even if their engagement period is short.

She has a clear vision for her wedding dress, which is a white gown with black lines, a corset, and a princess poof, while also dreaming of a Victorian updo and pink hair as suggested by Brian. 

Amy is pleased with how well Brian has connected with her sons from her previous marriage, Gage and Glenn, noting that he fits perfectly into the family and embodies the life she has always wanted. She praised Brian as patient and understanding, highlighting his kind nature.

The couple first met at a concert, where they bonded in the mosh pit over music and street tacos, and they have been inseparable ever since. Amy is clearly smitten with Brian, describing him as the "ultimate package" who shares her love for horror, making him the perfect match.

Last month, The Blast shared that the TLC star revealed that she is officially off the market, having secretly dated a woman for the past few months. 

Tammy's announcement came in a sneak peek of the upcoming season premiere of their hit reality show, where she excitedly shared her news. After identifying as pansexual following the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, in June 2023, Tammy expressed her joy about her new romance.

While she has developed a strong bond with her mystery girlfriend, Tammy has not informed her family yet. She acknowledged that they might have strong opinions about her relationship. She aims to approach this connection differently from what she has in the past.

Tammy and Caleb fell deeply in love and decided to solidify their bond with an engagement ring in November 2022. Tragically, their romance was cut short when Caleb passed away in June 2023 at the age of 40, just seven months after their engagement. 

In the wake of his death, Tammy has chosen to keep her personal life private and has not publicly revealed any new relationships.

Last year, Tammy took to TikTok to clarify her sexuality after a fan speculated about her being transgender. In her now-deleted post, she confirmed she was not trans but expressed her strong support for the LGBTQ+ community.

While she initially identified as pansexual, Tammy revealed that after the passing of her husband, she had shifted her focus toward relationships with women, describing herself as "like a lesbian."

Following her husband's death, fans noticed Tammy was ready to re-enter the dating scene. In October 2023, news emerged that she had signed up for a Facebook Dating profile, showcasing her remarkable weight loss transformation and outlining her desire for chatting, friendship, or a long-term relationship.

Before addressing her sexuality publicly, sources indicated that Tammy was indeed open to dating women. An insider noted she was in her "bad b-tch era," seeking a same-sex relationship, although no serious connections had formed yet. 

They attributed her newfound interest in women to both her impressive weight loss and the challenges she faced in her marriage. Tammy struggled with feeling neglected by her husband, Caleb, believing he did not make enough effort to support her, especially during tough times.

Last year, The Blast shared that Amy's visit to the zoo ended in disaster when she suffered a camel bite and was arrested for drug possession in her car. 

After the bite, she was taken away on a stretcher, but medical treatment was halted when police discovered psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in her vehicle, where her two children were present.

Amy and her company, identified as Brian, were arrested by the Crockett County Sheriff's Department at the Safari Park. Authorities claimed a strong odor coming from her car prompted their decision to conduct a drug search.

Both faced multiple charges, including illegal possession of controlled substances and two counts of child endangerment. The Sheriff's Department clarified that the charges were merely allegations and did not imply guilt.

Public interest in the case grew, with many offering to assist with her bail. Eyewitnesses reported seeing Amy and Brian leaving the facility, with Amy appearing to have a tourniquet on her arm.

They were both released on a $10,000 bail, quickly getting into a waiting vehicle while avoiding media interaction, which was captured in a viral Facebook video. Meanwhile, Amy's social media was inundated with questions about her condition following her release.
