Beyoncé Sets New Record After Grossing $55 Million At SoFi Stadium During 'Cowboy Carter Tour'

Who runs the world? Apparently, it's Beyoncé.

After just the first five shows of her "Cowboy Carter" tour, a new report reveals Beyoncé shattered another music industry record, grossing $55.7 million at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium.

According to a new report published by Billboard, Beyoncé has broken another record, grossing $55.7 million during the "Cowboy Carter" tour's first five shows alone.

The publication reported that 217,000 tickets were sold across the five showstopping performances, making Beyoncé's production the highest-grossing reported single-venue engagement ever by a woman.

The "Cowboy Carter" tour is also the fifth-highest-grossing tour run in Billboard Boxscore's history, behind two legs of U2's Sphere residency in 2023/2024, Harry Styles' lengthy residency at Madison Square Garden in 2022, and eight nights of Take That at Wembley Stadium in London in 2011.

Queen Bey's "Cowboy Carter" tour kicked off on April 28, where she was joined on stage by her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter.

According to Billboard, Beyoncé grossed $11.1 million per show and played to nearly 45,000 loyal BeyHive members a night.

Her stint at SoFi also means the "TYRANT" singer has now played more shows at the stadium than any other artist in the venue's history, bringing her total to eight, including her three "RENAISSANCE" productions in 2023.

Although she has exciting news to be proud of, Beyoncé has had to deal with a bit of negative press since beginning her show.

As The Blast reported in early May, James Dolan, owner of the Las Vegas Sphere, sent Beyoncé and her production company, Parkwood Entertainment, a cease and desist letter after she used their venue in her tour's interlude visuals without permission.

“Beyoncé — many orders of magnitude larger than the Sphere venue — leans over, picks up the venue, and looms over it,” Kathleen McCarthy, a lawyer representing Dolan, wrote in a statement.

McCarthy went on to say that Bey's interlude has caused "significant speculation" that she would end her tour with a "Sphere residency."

The letter asked Beyoncé and Parkwood to stop using the footage of their venue "without permission" so there'd be no confusion among fans.

"It has recently come to SEG's attention that a Cowboy Carter tour interlude video contains the unauthorized use of SEG's intellectual property," the letter read. "SEG is sure that multiple aspects of the interlude video, including other brands, clips, and music, were duly cleared by the tour with rights permissions from the rights holders whose works were used in the video, as is common practice. SEG, however, was never asked, and the prominent appearance and manipulation of SEG's Sphere venue in the video is unauthorized."

After receiving the legal notice, the "Single Ladies" singer obliged and removed the clip of the Sphere from her visuals. However, her subsequent moves are what really sent her fans into a frenzy.

During the next show at SoFi, eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted that she had swapped the Sphere visual for footage of Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, where she will perform the "Cowboy Carter" tour on July 25 and 26.

Her production company also posted the clip on Instagram, writing, "What happens in Vegas starts with a BANG."

Several of the "Say My Name" singer's fans commented on her move, suggesting that they were siding with her.

"Those petty ones can't f-ck with me," one user wrote, referencing a lyric in Beyoncé's song "YA YA," while another said, "PARKWOOD IS UNDEFEATED! TAKE THAT SPHERE."

Another moment from the "Cowboy Carter" tour that people can't stop talking about is the sweet interaction Beyoncé shared on stage with her youngest daughter, Rumi.

During "PROTECTOR," a song about a mother's love for her children, Rumi emerged on stage to stand by Bey's side, waving to the audience and capturing their hearts in the process.

The Grammy winner's oldest daughter, Blue, who's shared the spotlight with her mother in the past, was also on stage, performing solos during the songs "AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM" and "Deja Vú."
