Taylor Swift is said to be deeply unhappy about being served a subpoena in the legal feud between Blake Lively and her "It Ends With Us" co-star, Justin Baldoni.
The singer's subpoena is tied to Baldoni's $400 million defamation lawsuit, filed in January against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
The filing includes text messages in which Blake Lively allegedly refers to Taylor Swift as "one of her dragons" while chatting with Justin Baldoni.
Taylor Swift Was Left 'Completely Floored' After Being Subpoenaed As A Witness

According to the Daily Mail, Swift being subpoenaed in the ongoing feud between her best pal, Lively, and film director Baldoni has not only left her "completely floored" but also "very upset."
Since being dragged into the feud last year, Swift's relationship with Lively has deteriorated—seemingly confirmed by the fact that the duo haven't been seen in public together since.
Now, the introduction of the subpoena has only made matters worse, with the pop star reportedly feeling betrayed and exploited by Lively, whom she had grown up with in New York's Tribeca neighborhood.
"Taylor has been aware that Blake has been exploiting her name for a while now, but this subpoena takes it to a whole new level," a source told the outlet.
Swift will now be required to sit down with Baldoni's lawyers at a future date in connection with claims in his $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, particularly regarding the pop star's alleged involvement in the creative decisions made for "It Ends With Us."
Taylor Swift's Rep Has Responded To The Subpoena

In the wake of the subpoena, a rep for Swift came out to explain that Swift never visited the film set or had any involvement in any of the "casting or creative decisions."
"She did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024, headlining the biggest tour in history," Swift's rep shared, per People Magazine.
The rep also clarified that the only connection the pop star had with the movie was allowing the showrunners to use her song "My Tears Ricochet."
Subsequently, the Daily Mail further confirmed from sources close to Swift that she had no involvement in the casting of actress Isabela Ferrer as young Lily Bloom, the character portrayed by Lively in the movie.
Justin Baldoni Was Slammed By Blake Lively's Rep For His Subpoena Move

While Swift's team appeared to take a measured approach to the subpoena situation, Lively's camp came out swinging, with a representative publicly slamming Baldoni and his legal team.
The rep particularly took offense at Baldoni's legal team's suggestion to sell tickets to the deposition and donate the proceeds to organizations supporting victims of domestic abuse, per People Magazine.
They claimed that they were trying to turn Lively's suit into "entertainment for the tabloids" and that the ongoing case is a "very serious legal matter," not a "circus."
The rep then switched to criticizing Baldoni and the other parties named in the sexual harassment suit.
"The defendants continue to publicly intimidate, bully, shame, and attack women's rights and reputations."
They further remarked, "The disturbing actions by a billionaire, men who made their careers as 'female allies,' and their team continue to show their true colors."
Trial Date Set For Blake Lively's Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

As of now, the sexual harassment trial is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with cameras barred from the courtroom.
Once proceedings begin, Baldoni is expected to take the stand, as confirmed by his attorney, Bryan Freedman.
Lively will also testify, along with other individuals her legal team believes either witnessed or experienced misconduct relevant to her claims.
"The ultimate moment for a plaintiff's story to be told is at trial. We expect that to be the case here [with Lively]. So we would, of course, expect her to be a witness at her trial. Of course, she's going to testify," Lively's attorney, Mike Gottlieb, told People Magazine.
Blake Lively's Lawyers Demand Justin Baldoni's Financial Records

Ahead of the trial, Lively's legal team has also made a demand to see Baldoni's financial documents.
According to TMZ, the actress and her lawyers want to confirm if Lively's allegations cost the actor money equal to his $400 million countersuit demand.
Lively's legal team initially requested the financial documents from Baldoni, but were reportedly denied access and only allowed to see "non-privileged documents concerning their damages."
The actress's team believes that Baldoni and his lawyers must share how they calculated the $400 million sum they seek in their defamation lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Reynolds.
Her lawyers also noted that while Baldoni claims he has suffered financially, the film, "It Ends With Us," which he directed and co-starred in, was a box office success.
