One of Kanye West's numerous real estate holdings is currently under investigation after it was burned down.

The church building, said to be located in the Northridge area of Los Angeles, mysteriously caught fire around 12:45 a.m. on October 14, 2024.

The revelation comes after a source close to Kanye West confirmed that the speculation about him sending a threatening letter to his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, was a hoax.

Over the years, West has built a massive real estate portfolio, with many of his properties located in Los Angeles.

One of these holdings is now reportedly under investigation due to suspected arson after it burned down on October 14, 2024.

According to The US Sun, while it remains unclear how the fire started, it began around 12:45 a.m. that day and quickly engulfed the building. When the firefighting team arrived, it took them about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

The building in question was purchased for $1.5 million in January 2023 by the rapper, although the reason for the purchase remains unclear.

Interestingly, the burned-down building isn't the only property owned by West that has since been abandoned and left to rot.

The "All of the Lights" rapper also owns a $6.7 million building on Melrose Avenue, along with several condos and a house he purchased in Calabasas.

Taxes on those buildings have reportedly accrued over the years, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars, which West has yet to pay.

News about West's burned-down property being under investigation follows earlier reports that a threatening letter allegedly sent to his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, was actually a hoax.

TMZ had previously reported that the rapper accused his ex-wife of exploiting their four children in a cease-and-desist letter supposedly issued by his lawyers.

The alleged exploitation claim centered around Kardashian's posting of images and footage of North online, which the letter argued violated West's "joint custodial rights and his stated opposition to his children's public exposure."

The document also claimed that Kardashian breached their divorce settlement by bringing North to the Met Gala and allegedly leaving her unattended in a vehicle for much of the event.

Additionally, West alleged that the reality star denied him "meaningful access" to his children, claiming he had not seen Saint at all throughout the year.

The Rapper's Claims About Not Being Allowed To See His Kids Were Disputed

Kardashian and West married in 2014 and welcomed four kids: North, Chicago, Psalm, and Saint, before separating and finalizing their divorce in 2022.

They were granted joint custody over their children, but the "Carnival" rapper often claims he has been denied that right, particularly when he wrote on X that he had not seen son Saint in 2025.

A source told the Daily Mail that Kardashian is increasingly spooked by West's public posts, especially when it relates to their kids, adding that she "never stands in the way" of their children spending time with him.

"The kids have to deal with a lot of things as it is, and now their father is admitting to all of these things publicly," the insider explained. "At some point, it just gets to be too much. And for Kim, this is too much. She doesn't feel safe right now."

A TMZ report also confirmed that West can see his children whenever he wants to and usually chooses not to. The rapper was also spotted with his son Saint in Japan earlier this year, despite his claim that he had not seen him in all of 2025.

While it has been confirmed that the cease-and-desist letter wasn't real, West has accused Kardashian several times of stopping him from seeing his kids.

The rapper had previously released a music video for his controversial song "Heil Hitler," in which he rapped about his custody issues with the businesswoman.

"With all of my money and fame, I still can't get my kids back/ With all of my money and fame, I still don't get to see my children," the "Donda" crooner said in the "Heil Hitler" song.

He also blamed her for his recent antisemitic outbursts on X, claiming he "turned into a Nazi" because she prevented him from seeing his children.

"N--gas see my Twitter but they don't see how I be feeling / So I became a Nazi, yeah b-tch. I'm the villain," the rapper added.

Beyond addressing his custody battle, West also spoke about his recent behavior with his wife, Bianca Censori.

The pair previously made headlines for their dramatic appearance at the Grammys, where Censori wore a nearly nude outfit that drew widespread attention.

In several other public outings, the Australian architect has been seen in similarly revealing attire, often pushing the boundaries of fashion norms.

Reflecting on their controversial appearances, West described himself as a "cuck," a term commonly used to refer to men who derive arousal from their partners being involved in sexual relationships with others.

"I love when people f-ck on my b-tch," the rapper sang, before going on to make several sexual innuendos.
