This week, Cher's son, Elijah Blue Allman, was seen outside the iconic Chateau Marmont hotel on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California, looking noticeably worse for wear.

The former Deadsy band member wore an oversized polo and a pair of shorts that appeared worn out and tattered.

One side of the polo also hung loosely across the singer's body, revealing parts of his torso.

His legs were visibly marked with sores, possibly from a recent injury, while he wore a dirty-looking pair of shoes. In his hands, he carried a half-smoked cigar, with one finger featuring a fake nail that added to his already disheveled appearance.

As he stumbled across the hotel's walkway, Allman had a glassy look in his eyes, which seemed to indicate that he was unaware of his surroundings. It remains unclear what he was doing at the location or if he went there with anyone.

Cher Tried To Place Her Son Under A Conservatorship In 2023

Allman's appearance comes after Cher opened up about him being mentally and physically unstable as she filed to place him under a conservatorship.

At the time, she was specifically worried that the singer would spend all of his money fueling his drug addiction.

"[Cher] is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah's life at risk," read a doc filed by Cher's lawyer, per New York Post.

Her attempt to place Allman under a conservatorship led to a bitter feud between them, ultimately leading to Allman filing an object to his mother's conservatorship request in January 2024.

"A conservatorship of the estate is not necessary at this time, no reason exists for the appointment of a conservator, the proposed conservator is not entitled to priority, and proposed conservator is unfit to serve," read a part of the filing, per Page Six.

At the time, he also admitted to his struggles with addiction and his poor spending habits, but claimed he was "clean and sober for over 90 days" and was committed to managing the trust from his late father, Gregg.

Elijah Blue Allman Called His Mother's Bid To Put Him Under A Conservatorship 'Misguided'

In a court filing obtained by The Blaston April 9, 2024, Cher's son noted that his mother's intentions were not "nefarious" and that she is too wealthy to have any interest in the "comparatively small sums" he receives from his late father, Greg Allman's trust. However, he slammed the "Believe" singer "misguided."

Allman said at the time, "I know that my mother's actions are meant to help me, but I do not need this help. My mother seems to believe that controlling these quarterly trust distributions will prevent me from engaging in self-destructive behaviors. She is misguided."

He added, "In the event that I am inclined to engage in self-destructive behaviors, I do not need my trust distributions to do so; the world is full of addicts and mentally ill persons who do not have a trust distribution from which to draw. The only person who can save me from my demons is me – and I'm doing just that."

Cher Ended Her Bid For Conservatorship To Rebuild Her Family

In September 2024, Cher chose to end her conservatorship pursuit in order to repair her strained bond with Allman.

"The team successfully defended Elijah, resulting in Cher voluntarily dismissing her petition. This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond, a process that began during mediation and continues today," Allman's attorneys told People Magazine.

According to other reports, the duo chose to settle the matter privately rather than have a protracted court feud over the necessity of the conservatorship.

Despite Cher ending her bid, she chose to retain the right to refile again should it be necessary at a later date.

Last month, Allman's wife, Marieangela King, filed for divorce from him to end their 11 years of marriage.

On the document, their date of separation was listed as March 31, with the reason stated to be "irreconcilable differences."

"We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I'll always cherish. I know we'll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart," King said in a statement to People Magazine.

She added, "As we turn the page to this next chapter, we kindly ask for privacy and truly appreciate your understanding."

King also requested $6000 in monthly support alongside their 2017 Toyota Prius as part of her divorce.
