Rondell Sheridan, best known for his role as Victor Baxter in Disney's "That's So Raven," revealed he's been diagnosed with severe pancreatitis.

The actor, who starred alongside Raven-Symoné throughout the show's original four-season run, shared an update on Instagram, telling his followers that he's been unable to work. He also posted the link to a GoFundMe page and asked for donations to help pay his $35,000 in medical bills.

'That's So Raven' Alum Requests Donations After Being Hospitalized With Severe Pancreatitis

On May 7, the iconic actor, who returned to Disney for the "That's So Raven" spin-off, "Raven's Home," revealed he'd been hospitalized and was in much pain.

"On April 10th, I was on the road and got sick. Went to the hospital, and they thought it was gastric. I got home on the 12th and immediately went to the hospital at North Ridge and was told it's pancreatitis," he said. "Tons of tests. I was in the hospital for nine days. I got released and thought I was on the road to recovery, but … my pancreas is inflamed and there's not much you can do about it, but just wait."

According to the Cleveland Clinic, pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas. It's usually temporary, but can be a lifelong condition. The publication states that the condition mostly causes abdominal pain, and common causes include alcohol and gallstones.

Sheridan Is Out Of Work After The 'That's So Raven' Spin-Off Concludes

In his video, Sheridan explained that his condition has put him out of work for the unforeseeable future, impacting his income. Consequently, he asked viewers to donate to his GoFundMe page to help with his medical expenses if they were able.

"I didn't realize I was going to be, and will be, out of work for quite some time," he said in the video. "I'm setting up this GoFundMe to help with some of my medical bills and just expenses. If you have anything that you could donate, I'd gladly appreciate it. Thank you so much."

Fans Share Their Well Wishes With The 'That's So Raven' Star Online

In the comment section of Sheridan's video, "That's So Raven" fans sent the actor well wishes.

"Get well soon Mr. Baxter," someone wrote before saying his character is "one of my favorite Disney channel dads."

"DAD!!!! Noooo," another posted. "We got you! We absolutely got you; we'll help you!!!"

"Oh, nah, Unc," a third wrote. "Get well soon!!!"

A fourth user shared that they made a donation and told the performer they were "sending prayers" his way.

Sheridan's GoFundMe Has Raised Over $37,000 And Counting

Sheridan's "dear friend," Isabel Beyoso, is organizing the actor's GoFundMe page, which set a goal of $35,000.

"If we can all come together to help him financially for his medical and monthly bills while his body heals, I know this will be one giant stress we can collectively take off his shoulders, so that he can focus on resting, recovering, and healing. Every little bit helps, and he appreciates you immensely," the campaign's description read.

At the time this article was published, Sheridan's fans and supporters had raised over $37,000 and counting.

An MTV Star Recently Passed Away After A Severe Case Of Necrotizing Pancreatitis

Another public figure who recently made headlines for his battle with pancreatitis was "Floriabma Shore" star Kirk Medas.

On May 1, several of his MTV castmates shared the news that he'd been hospitalized for necrotizing pancreatitis and needed a machine to help him breathe.

The next day, his family shared the news that he'd passed away due to liver failure.

Aimee Hall, one of Medas' castmates, shared candidly on her Facebook page how the loss impacted her. "Though my heart is shattered, I find peace in knowing he's no longer in pain," she wrote.

"He's in heaven now, free, whole, and making everyone laugh the way only he could. Kirk had the kindest soul, a heart full of love for everyone he met, and a spirit that brought people together. He truly was the glue that held us all close," Hall added.
