Nick Carter, member of the popular vocal group Backstreet Boys, is set to release his fourth solo studio album after his last solo project in 2015.

The new album, titled "Love Life Tragedy," is heavily influenced by pop and rock sounds and highlights Carter's unique evolution as an artist.

Carter has just announced he will be releasing his fourth solo album, "Love Life Tragedy," on May 15, ten years after the release of his last solo album, "All American."

The pop singer will be taking fans on a deeply personal and unique journey about his life through songs like the catchy "Easy" to emotional ballads such as "Cold Night" and "Don't Let Go."

Carter said about his new album: "This album is not only about love, life, and tragedy, but also the beauty that can come from it all."

He continued, "This is the most vulnerable material I've ever released, and it is cathartic to share my story in this way. The 'Love Life Tragedy' album is a thank you to everyone who has loved and supported me for who I am – the artist, the husband, the father, the human being. I am very proud of this album and am excited to share it."

Carter's new album, which he co-wrote, was created in collaboration with producers Stuart Crichto, the production team, Let Mii Rok Out, comprising Vic "BillboardKiller" Martin, Vinny Venditto, and Abraham Poythress, as well as producers and co-writers Bryan Shackle and Beck Nebel.

Carter's new album, "Love Life Tragedy," will be accompanied by the release of comic book-themed music videos over the course of two weeks, which will surely keep fans glued to their screens.

Like the album title, all six music videos have been created and lined up to help Carter convey an overarching story inspired by "Love Life Tragedy."

The first music video will be released on May 15, the same day as the album, and it will be for its lead single "Hurts To Love You."

Carter once explored a similar concept in his 2024 music video for "Never Break My Heart (Not Again)." However, this new video series is set to elevate the original idea and take it to another level.

To breathe more life into his new album, Carter has created a six-episode series of comic book-style music videos, which will be released over the course of two weeks to further immerse fans in his latest solo project.

The first music video (episode 1), "Hurts To Love You," will drop on May 15, alongside the album, "Love Life Tragedy."

On May 17, the second music video (episode 2) will be released for the track, "Superman," and on May 20, fans can watch the third music video (episode 3) for the song, "Never Break My Heart (Not Again)."

May 22 will be the release of the fourth music video from Carter's new album for the track, "Searchlight," and by May 27, the fifth music video (episode 5) will drop for his song, "Cold Night."

Finally, on May 30, the last music video (episode 6) will be released for Carter's song, "Storms," which, according to the press release, is "a standout ballad that paints a picture of perseverance through life challenges, ultimately carrying a message of strength and hope."

What Else Is Nick Carter Up To?

Asides from his upcoming album, Carter has been busy with the other Backstreet Boys members, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson, as they prepare for their upcoming summer residency, "Into The Millennium," at the Las Vegas Sphere.

The group will become the first pop act to perform at the futuristic venue, with shows set for July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and August 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24.

In a chat with Billboard, Carter shared that the Vegas Sphere show will provide fans with a "sensory overload" experience as they perform their 1999 Grammy-nominated album, "Millennium."

The Backstreet Boys will also be marking the 25th anniversary of the album on July 11 by releasing a new version, titled "Millennium 2.0," featuring 25 tracks.
