Jay-Z isn't holding back in his latest legal filing against Tony Buzbee.
In an amended document filed on May 5, Jay-Z blasted the Texas-based attorney and claimed he ordered his staff to complete unethical requests to ruin his reputation.
Jay-Z Claims Buzbee Ordered Staff Members To Edit His Wikipedia Pages With False Info To Harm His Reputation
Jay-Z amended his lawsuit against attorney Tony Buzbee and the woman who sued him for rape.
This is new:

Independent reporter Meghann Cuniff first reported on the filing in an X post. She shared the "new" information, which included a claim from Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, that accused Buzbee of ordering his staff to edit the rapper's Wikipedia pages with false information.
“In violation of Wikipedia’s rules, Buzbee directed his employees to edit Wikipedia pages to enhance Buzbee’s image and damage Mr. Carter’s and Roc Nation’s reputations. Users with an IP address directly linked to the Buzbee Firm made over 100 positive edits to Buzbee’s Wikipedia page," the document read.
The new claim is the latest move in the legal battle between Jay-Z and Buzbee, which began in late 2024 when the latter filed a lawsuit against him on behalf of a "Jane Doe" who claimed the "99 Problems" rapper raped her when she was underage at a party in 2000.
Jay-Z Says He Lost Millions Due To Buzbee's False Lawsuit

In February 2024, Buzbee's lawsuit against Jay-Z was dropped with prejudice, meaning it can't be filed again.
“The false case against Jay-Z, that never should have been brought, has been dismissed with prejudice,” Alex Spiro, the rapper's attorney, said. "By standing up in the face of heinous and false allegations, Jay has done what few can – he pushed back, he never settled, he never paid 1 red penny, he triumphed and cleared his name.”
Despite it being dropped, though, the negative press and attention surrounding the father of three directly affected his ability to earn money.
According to Complex, the rapper allegedly lost $20 million due to the lawsuit and was reportedly denied a $55 million credit line. The document also stated Jay-Z's consumer brand was denied a $115 million loan.
But that wasn't the only harm caused.
Beyoncé And Her Husband Have Been Threatened With Violence

In a previous report covered by The Blast, Jay-Z claimed he and his wife, Beyoncé, received death threats due to the assault allegations made against him.
"People have said, 'I can't wait until you join (Combs) in prison. Then later in hell,'" Jay-Z alleged in his complaint. "Other comments have accused me of being a 'satanist,' a 'trafficker,' a 'terrorist,' and a 'monster,' called me the N-word and threatened violence against me and my wife, including to 'kill' or 'execute' us."
Jay-Z also added that Buzbee and his client "purposely" filed the lawsuit against him the day before his daughter's "Mufasa" red carpet event to "put me in the position of having to choose between supporting my daughter or hiding to avoid the negative press coverage."
Jay-Z Files Lawsuit Against Buzbee, Which The Latter Wants Thrown Out

Following the dismissal of Doe's lawsuit, Jay-Z filed a suit of his own in an Alabama court against Buzbee and his accuser, claiming they filed it with the intent to "extort" him.
Buzbee, however, has asked a court to dismiss the lawsuit and argued that the "Family Feud" performer filed it in the wrong court anyway. He also claimed that he and Jay-Z had an agreement, which the rapper allegedly "reneged" on.
Jay's lawyer called the claim a "total lie," adding that Buzbee "brought a false case, lost badly and was forced to dismiss quickly. End of story."
Buzbee's Lawyer Defends Him Against Jay's Legal Team In Court

Buzbee's legal representative, however, fired back and said Spiro's denial of his and Jay's agreement is a "total fabrication."
"There was an exchange of emails between me and Spiro which set forth the agreement very clearly," they said.
According to Buzbee's lawyer, the alleged agreement was supposed to stop Jay and Spiro from sending people to "harass and intimidate Jane Doe and her family."
They added, "One week later Jay-Z and his lawyer breached that agreement flagrantly by sending supposed investigators to harass and intimidate Jane Doe and her family."
Spiro addressed the lawyer's accusations, saying they had a conversation about his investigation of Buzbee's law firm; however, he denied there was any "explicit agreement" to settle the Jane Doe case, calling his claim untrue.
