Soar through the sky like a bird without ever leaving your seat or the Las Vegas Strip.
This breathtaking, immersive ride, Flyover, takes guests over iconic landscapes in such a real-feeling way that you can almost forget that you’re not really flying through the air. Using state-of-the-art motion seats, mist, wind, and scents, this multi-sensory ride really gives you the look and feel of actually flying over amazing landscapes.
With different options to soar over, such as Chicago and Iceland, there’s something fun for everyone to experience at Flyover in Las Vegas.

A trip to a faraway land on Flyover will certainly awaken your senses and make you feel that you’re really there.
“Using the power of unique perspectives, the sensations of flight and complete sensory engagement, you’ll soar over, around and through the world’s most epic places,” the website reads.
The wraparound screen makes you truly feel you are there, as well as the wind, mist, and specific scents that are perfectly timed during the experience.
There are currently four options to choose from in Las Vegas: “Wonders of the American West,” “Believe Chicago,” “Windborne: Call of the Canadian Rockies,” and “Legendary Iceland.”
"At Flyover, you're not simply watching a movie on a screen—you're surrounded by it. The immersive dome experience features a state-of-the-art projection system, ultra-high resolution, and a seamless circular screen, all among the best in the world," Lisa Adams, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Producer for Flyover Attractions told The Blast exclusively. "The film unfolds in front of you, below you, and even above you, fully immersing you in the environment."
Choosing The Destinations For Flyover

With so many Flyover worthy places to feature, a decision has to be made about which ones are more likely to be a true storytelling experience.
"It's always difficult to decide. There are so many amazing places across the globe that we'd love to showcase. It often comes down to what is feasible. Filming a Flyover experience is a two-year process of scouting and filming, so we need to opt for locations that we can visit multiple times relatively easily, and where we can get the on-the-ground support and permits needed to complete the project," said Adams.
"Another important consideration is whether the project would be fresh and interesting -- and whether it would challenge us creatively and force us to be innovative in our approach. 'Believe Chicago' is a perfect example. Having showcased awe-inspiring landscapes across Canada and Iceland in our previous films, we wanted to create a dynamic urban experience. Where the first two films highlighted environments that are hard to reach, 'Believe Chicago' was intended to show a familiar city in an entirely new way. To accomplish it, we had to rely heavily on first-person view (FPV) drones and do some things that many thought couldn't be done."
And it's not just about the visual aspect of the attraction. Something else that's important is "storytelling."
"Not only does a location need to be visually captivating, but we also need to dig in to allow the story of that place and its people shine through," she said. "We want to be confident that we can tell the story effectively and create an experience that's genuinely reflective of a place and its people.
Flyover In Las Vegas Has Two Theaters To Showcase More Destinations

While you can experience Flyover in Chicago, Vancouver, Iceland, and Las Vegas, Vegas offers something unique that the others don't.
"Flyover in Las Vegas is unique in that it has two theaters, so it can show four films instead of two," Adams said. "In addition to its anchor experience of 'Wonders of the American West,' it has three other films, so they are swapped out less."
Each location has an anchor experience that's always showing and a second film that's swapped out every three to 12 months.
Vancouver was the only Flyover destination until 2019 until FlyOver Iceland opened, so many experiences have focused on Canada, as well as Hawaii and Taiwan.
New Flyover Destinations Are In The Works

As for new destinations, that's in the works, but takes a bit of time.
"We're hard at work on our next experience, which will feature a completely new location. It's a little early to reveal what the focus will be, but it will be fresh and hopefully unexpected," Adams told The Blast. "Our goal with this project is to introduce guests to a place that they probably don't know too much about. We've found some incredible locations and met some wonderful people, so we can't wait to share this experience with the world."
The production of creating a new destination for Flyover guests to enjoy takes longer than one might assume.
"The whole production from start to finish takes two years, or more, so it's a long process," she shared. "We use helicopters and heavy-lift drones to capture the footage, which requires a lot of planning, permits, and perfect weather conditions."
There's also the "storytelling component" to capture local voices, collaborate with local artists and create a film that looks and feels like you're actually there.
"When it comes to the actual experience, our construction and entertainment technology teams work hard to ensure every aspect of the experience is optimized to make the experience as immersive and mind-blowing as possible. This is harder than it might seem," she explained.
"For example, the mechanical technology, designed to mimic the smooth, free-flowing flight of a bird, must be precisely synchronized with the visuals. If not done perfectly, the experience won’t be as good. It's the same with the scents and the spray. If it's not accurate and perfectly timed, the experience won't be as immersive."
The Blast Took Flight To Chicago And The Midwest

I was able to check out Flyover in Las Vegas last week with my 19-year-old son. We had experienced something similar in New York City a few years back, so we knew a little about what we were walking into, but this experience surpassed any expectations we had.
When it's your flight time, you first go into a room for an overview and introduction of what's about to happen. Then you are brought into the next room where the ride is located. Once everyone is strapped into their seats and any loose objects are stowed away under the seat, it's time to fly.
We first took flight on "Wonders of the American Midwest." You truly felt like you were flying over all the amazing places in the Midwest. Then we flew to Chicago. We both agreed that Chicago was a little more fast-moving than the Midwest, but both were amazing and memorable in their own ways.
Would I suggest this experience to my friends and family? ABSOLUTELY! It's something you must experience firsthand to fully understand just how amazing it is. And I truly believe that you can go to the same experience multiple times and see something new each and every time.
