Despite the fashion elites and celebrities scheduled to attend the 2025 Met Gala, Simone Biles has one "star" she is most excited to see.
The Olympic icon and her beau, Jonathan Owens, recently turned heads at the Kentucky Derby with matching outfits, proving they know how to make a statement together.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens met in 2020 and tied the knot in not one but two ceremonies three years later.

Biles is getting ready to hit one of fashion's biggest red carpets, but it is her husband, Jonathan Owens, she is most excited to see.
The athlete is set to co-host the 2025 Met Gala, themed "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," alongside her husband and others. As usual, celebrity looks will be unveiled on the carpet, and Biles promised something bold.
While the same designer will not dress Biles and Owens, she said their looks will still align. "We'll be cohesive with one another, so that's really exciting to share another moment," she told PEOPLE, adding that Owens is the "star" she is "most excited to see."
Biles also gave an update on her Met Gala outfit, hinting that her heels will be higher than usual, possibly up to six inches, which even for the gymnast, is a tall order.

The 2025 Met Gala will mark Biles' second time at fashion's biggest night. She first appeared in 2021 wearing a showstopping gown by AREA x Athleta. This time, her role is bigger, but she says the workload has not been too intense.
"Honestly, it's just been designing for the apparel," Biles shared. "So no big, big job, which is also cool because I've just been so busy. So really just show up, have a good time, wear a beautiful fit, and then just walk the carpet."
Biles joins fellow committee members Doechii, Regina King, Spike Lee, Angel Reese, and Usher, alongside co-chairs Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and honorary chair LeBron James.
Together, they will work with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour to bring this year's theme to life.

Before dropping hints about her 2025 Met Gala look, Biles made a fashion statement with her beau at the Kentucky Derby. The Blast reported that Biles stepped out in a lavender strapless mini dress featuring detailed embroidery and a fitted waist.
She completed the outfit with a bold feathered hat, silver heels, and minimal jewelry. Owens kept it sleek with a coordinating hat, suit jacket, white shirt, tailored pants, and clean tennis shoes.
With her showstopping derby look, Biles reminded fans that she knows how to make a statement long before stepping onto the Met Gala carpet.

Biles did not just show up to the derby in style, she played a major part in the event's tradition. The 28-year-old was selected as this year's honorary "Riders Up!" announcer, a celebrated position typically given to high-profile guests.
The role is a major part of Derby Day and marks one of the most iconic moments before the races begin.
The phrase has deep roots in horse racing history, originally called out by a paddock judge to signal jockeys to mount their horses. Over time, the honor has shifted to celebrities, turning it into a high-profile moment before the starting gates open.

At the exciting event, Biles also opened up about her hopes for starting a family with the NFL star. The Blast noted that the star revealed she and Owens plan to introduce their future children to sports early on but will not push them toward athletics.
"We don't really care what they do as long as they find their passion," she shared before adding that even if they lean toward music or something entirely different, that would still be "phenomenal."
Biles said she has always wanted to become a mom, and Owens has always dreamed of being a dad, calling the idea "really exciting."
Her openness about motherhood is not new. In August, she shared in an interview that having kids is "most definitely" in their future. She explained, "Obviously, we both have goals that we want to achieve before we start a family, but yes, that's definitely in our future."
With her style locked in and her partner by her side, Simone Biles is ready to make a memorable entrance at the Met Gala.
