According to Us Weekly, Martinez is suing Smith, who used to play in the league for teams like the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens, for $100,000 under North Carolina's "homewrecker law."
The documents state that Martinez discovered his wife, Nicole, who was part of the Ravens' marching band, had been messaging with Smith since October 2024. It also revealed she allegedly had sexual intercourse with him at the beginning of 2025.
Smith's alleged relationship with Martinez's wife is said to have begun after the former arrived in Maryland to film a TV special for the NFL Network.
The special followed Smith as he joined the Ravens' marching band to participate in the "gameday experience."
Per the legal documents, Smith "provided his phone number to contact and communicate" with Martinez's wife after meeting her.
“Subsequently, [Smith] began communicating with Plaintiff’s wife, calling her, and exchanging numerous text messages with her. These messages were often sexual in nature and included the exchange of photographs and videos, nude photographs including pictures of Defendant’s penis, and videos of Defendant masturbating and ejaculating," the document stated.

Other NFL Stars Facing Legal Troubles

In January 2025, several massage therapists came forward and accused the Ravens' standout kicker, Justin Tucker, of displaying inappropriate behavior during their sessions at high-end spas.
According to the therapists, who requested anonymity, Tucker's alleged behavior was so appalling that they ended several of his sessions early. Additionally, two spas reportedly banned him from using their facilities in the future.
The women who spoke to The Baltimore Banner about their alleged experiences described their encounters with Tucker as "degrading."
They also opened up about the massages themselves, adding that Tucker would allegedly request treatment on his pelvic region or inner thighs while visibly aroused.
Two therapists claimed the NFL veteran touched them with his exposed p-nis, while three others claimed they saw what appeared to be ejaculate on the massage table after the football player left.
Several weeks later, in February 2025, seven additional therapists accused the Baltimore player of similar behavior, and one claimed that Tucker made "intense eye contact throughout the massage while exposed."
Tucker Denied The Allegations

Tucker posted a statement online and vehemently denied the allegations against him.
"I have never received any complaints from a massage therapist, have never been dismissed from a massage therapy or bodywork session, and have never been told that I was not welcome at any spa or other place of business," he said.
"I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session," he finished.
