Jason Isaacs isn’t shying away from the swirling cast feud rumors surrounding season 3 of "The White Lotus." In fact, he’s leaning all the way in.
After running into co-star Walton Goggins on a flight, Jason Isaacs snapped a series of selfies, including one where he plants a kiss on Goggins’ forehead.

He then posted them to Instagram on Friday, May 2, with a cheeky caption aimed straight at the drama-hungry fans.
“Guess who was on my plane?” Isaacs teased, before throwing shade at the internet detectives who’ve been tracking the "White Lotus" cast’s every move. “Hey, all you genius online sleuths, see any beef?!!”
He even ended the post with “#RicksAlive!!!," a nod to Goggins’ character, Rick Hatchett, who met a grisly end in the show’s season 3 finale.
But the playful jabs didn’t stop there.
After Duke Slammed His Character, Jason Isaacs Responds

Isaacs doubled down on his trolling by tagging Duke University’s official Instagram account, a reference to another swirl of controversy from the show.
In one intense season 3 scene, Isaacs’ character, finance bro Tim Ratliff, dons a Duke T-shirt while contemplating suicide.
The moment went viral, and not in a good way.
A university official later slammed the show, telling The New York Times the character “does not reflect our values or who we are.”
Isaacs’ response? He showed up to the "White Lotus" finale party wearing the school’s Blue Devil mascot tee.
Walton Goggins Dodges Drama Question As Cast Fallout Rumors Swirl

Of course, fans are still laser-focused on the real-life tension between Goggins and his on-screen love interest, Aimee Lou Wood.
The pair famously unfollowed each other on Instagram after filming wrapped, and Goggins didn’t do much to squash the drama in a new Times UK interview published May 1. When asked about the falling out, Goggins replied, “I’m not gonna have that conversation,” as his publicists swiftly shut down further questions.
Jason Isaacs Spills On 'White Lotus' Cast Drama

Isaacs, meanwhile, acknowledged things got tense behind the scenes during a SiriusXM interview last month.
“Everyone was in a little pressure cooker together,” he said. “There’s friendships, there’s romances, there’s arguments, there’s cliques that form and break and reform.”
As for the internet sleuths dissecting every unfollow and subtle jab, Isaacs thinks they’re off the mark.
“Nobody has the slightest clue what they’re talking about,” he said. “People think they’re onto something, and then it gets magnified… Nobody has any clue.”
Plus, in an interview with The Guardian, published in February 2025, he said, “You couldn’t avoid one other. There are tensions and difficulties, I don’t know if they spilled from on screen to off-screen, or if it would have happened anyway."
He added, "There were alliances that formed and broke, romances that formed and broke, friendships that formed and broke. It’s a long period of time for people to be away from their family with an open bar and all the wildness being in Thailand allows.”
Goggins And Wood’s Social Media Saga Gets Weirder

Further confusing fans, last month, Goggins gave a heartfelt shoutout to Wood in an Instagram post, writing, “Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget.”
Wood followed with a photo of the two on April 8, captioning it “A perfect storm.”
Adding fuel to the speculation was when Goggins previously had a slideshow of photos with Wood pinned to his Highlights… which is now mysteriously gone.
Aimee Lou Wood Slams 'SNL' Sketch Mocking Her

Then came the "Saturday Night Live" sketch on April 12, a politically charged spoof titled "The White Potus," parodying both the Trump administration and "The White Lotus."
The bit included cast member Sarah Sherman donning exaggerated prosthetic teeth to mock Wood’s character, something the actress did not find funny.
Wood fired back at the sketch online, calling it “mean and unfunny.” Goggins, on the other hand, had the opposite reaction and wasn’t shy about it.
“Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg,” he commented on the official "SNL" Instagram account… though the comment has since been deleted.
While neither star has publicly addressed the speculation, fans are definitely reading between the lines and wondering whether the off-screen chemistry has turned a bit sour.
