Social media users are reacting to a viral clip of Shannon Sharpe telling someone off-camera to "shut the f-ck up" while he was filming his popular podcast "Nightcap."
The clip was posted to X and Instagram, and netizens are chiming in and sharing their opinions on the matter.
One user called the former Denver Broncos player's behavior "unhinged," while another said he seemed to be "crashing out."
All of the noise comes a little over a week after a woman with the pseudonym Jane Doe filed a $50 million lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe in Nevada, alleging the Super Bowl champion assaulted her several times throughout the course of their relationship, which began in 2023.

On a recent episode of Sharpe's daily sports podcast show, "Nightcap," the media personality was talking with his host, Chad Johnson, and former NBA player Joe Johnson about the NFL before he displayed what many believed to be aggressive behavior.
In the middle of his sentence, the "Club Shay Shay" host looked off-camera and told someone to "shut the f-ck up," leaving both Johnsons speechless.
Shortly after, Sharpe looked up with a smirk before seemingly implying that he was speaking about people "next door."

What Legal Troubles Is Shannon Sharpe Facing?

The clip of Sharpe circulating around the internet arrived just over a week after he was sued by a young woman in a Nevada court for allegedly assaulting her throughout their two-year relationship.
According to the suit, Sharpe and the accuser met at a Los Angeles gym in 2023 when the former allegedly offered to pay for her plastic surgery if she entered into a fitness competition with him and won.
During that time, the pair allegedly formed a relationship, which, according to the accuser's lawyer, Tony Buzbee, became controlling and dangerous.
"He demanded complete control over her time and body," Buzbee wrote in the filing, "expecting her to be at his house on his schedule, at his command, whenever he called."
Sharpe Immediately Denied The Allegations And Called The Lawsuit A 'Shakedown'

The next day, Sharpe and his legal team shared a statement on his Instagram, denying the allegations made against him. He also blasted Buzbee, who was most recently involved in a legal battle with Jay-Z, for attempting to ruin his reputation and career for money.
“To my family, friends, supporters, and colleagues, I want to speak to you directly and from the heart,” Sharpe said. “This is a shakedown. I’m gonna be open, transparent, and defend myself, because this isn’t right."
He went on to say that Buzbee and his client would be "sued for defamation and trying to take me down." Sharpe added, "My career is all about real talk and honesty. I know my family and fans know exactly what this is about, and I’m going to be out there telling you whatever I need to say, just like I always do. I love all you guys."

Following his statement, Buzbee and his client shared a clip of an alleged phone call that occurred between Sharpe and the accuser, in which the Hall of Fame football player could be heard threatening to physically harm the woman on the line.
“I don’t know. Anything I say you’re just gonna, like, get mad at me and you’re just gonna hang up on me,” a woman’s voice can be heard saying in the clip.
Later, the voice presumed to be Sharpe replied, “I’m not going to hang up on you. It is what it is.”
After that, the male’s voice is heard telling the woman on the line that she was going to start being “a d-ck to me now,” urging her to say not to “manipulate me.”
The male voice replied: “Oh, lord, have mercy. If you say that word one more time, I’m gonna f-cking choke the sh-t out of you when I see you.”
The female voice said, “I don’t wanna be choked,” to which the male caller said, “Yes, you do. I don’t think you have a choice in the matter.”
The negative attention prompted Sharpe to step down from his gig hosting ESPN's "First Take" with Stephen A. Smith. In his departure message, Sharpe addressed the chatter and said his relationship with the accuser was "100% consensual."
"I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming and ongoing support I have received from my family, fans, friends, and colleagues," he finished.
