Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have reportedly said goodbye to their flood-prone £15m Cotswolds home for a new property on higher ground.
The couple relocated from the US for a new life in the UK, but have seemingly had difficulty settling down because of the effects of floodwater surrounding their house.
Prior to leaving the US, Ellen DeGeneres' career was dealt a major blow due to allegations that she fostered a toxic work environment.
Ellen DeGeneres And Portia de Rossi Secure New Home

DeGeneres and her wife, de Rossi, have reportedly found a new luxurious mansion to call home after being plagued by a series of disasters in their £15 million [$20 million] dream home in the Cotswolds.
According to the Daily Mail, the new property sits on a hilltop on the edge of a village in Oxfordshire and is around a 30-minute drive from their Cotswolds mansion.
They're believed to have paid around £15 million for it as planning documents show it has a "sustainable drainage system" and is not "at risk of flooding."
The couple's new residence is described as a minimalist single-story house with breathtaking views of the Cotswolds. It features floor-to-ceiling windows and also has its own cinema, gym, steam room, and a giant outdoor infinity pool.
The 10,000-square-foot property also boasts a massive master bedroom with a huge walk-in wardrobe and two en-suite bathrooms, while four other bedrooms are also en-suite.
DeGeneres has already taken to her Instagram to share photos of her wife admiring their new home, which also features a rainbow.
Describing the "three things which make me happy" to her followers, she wrote: "My wife, a rainbow, and my wife taking a photograph of a rainbow."
The Comedian's New Home Might Have A Dark Past

The former "Ellen DeGeneres Show" host's new property reportedly has one or two issues with it.
According to the news outlet, the property has a dark past, having been built close to the site of a farmhouse where a man was murdered.
A source said, "The murder was a few years ago now and it was quite a grim one so for people around here who have long memories the place will always be notorious."
"And just because they demolished the old place, anyone who has grown up around here will always say, 'Oh, that's where the murder was,'" the insider added.
The farmhouse was eventually sold for about £2 million as a derelict building only fit for redevelopment, many years after the murder.
Ellen DeGeneres' Relocation Proves Expensive

After ditching the US for fear of the "perils" of Donald Trump's America, the couple's move to the UK has proven quite expensive, having forked out millions for two properties within the space of 5 months.
A Cotswolds property expert shared that the house "is a real Grand Designs number - and it's plain that Ellen and Portia are loving it."
"Everything has been done very discreetly so it's not clear what the terms of the deal was but it seems that it has recently changed hands for not much less than they paid for their previous place," they continued.
"To buy two properties for eight-figure sums in the space of a few months really is unusual, even given the many multi-millionaires around here," the insider shared. "And at even a conservative estimate, it must have cost Ellen hundreds of thousands of pounds in fees and costs to change her mind so dramatically - perhaps millions."
The Comedian's Move To The UK Was For 'Retirement'

The former talk show host reportedly made the trip across the pond to kick off her "retirement" from Hollywood following a toxic workplace scandal that marred her entertainment career.
In a 2020 BuzzFeed News investigation, former staff accused DeGeneres of fostering a toxic workplace culture on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," as well as claims of racism, sexual misconduct, and intimidation.
"Make no mistake about it. This is Ellen and Portia's retirement," a source told the Daily Mail. "Neither one of them has any projects lined up."
"Ellen really felt she had made her mark on the industry, but that was diminished when she was canceled over her alleged treatment of her staff," the source added. "Then to have celebrities call her out one by one was so hurtful."
Ellen DeGeneres And Portia de Rossi Have Almost Fully Cut Ties With The US

DeGeneres and de Rossi are almost entirely done with the US after selling one of their last properties in the country.
The couple listed their two-bedroom, two-bathroom Montecito mansion on March 10 for $5 million, just over four years after they bought it for $2.9 million.
According to People Magazine, the 1,691-square-foot Spanish bungalow has now been sold for $5.2 million.
The news outlet reports that the property went into escrow on March 20 after receiving "multiple offers within two days of hitting the market."
The California abode's private primary suite boasts its "own patio, spa-like bath, and generous closet space."
Also, it features a simple but spacious kitchen with wooden cupboards and solid grey worktops with fitted appliances.
