JoJo Siwa Insists Split From Kath Ebbs Was The Fix She Needed

JoJo Siwa is setting all the records straight about her new single status!

In a fresh interview, the former child star got candid about what fueled her to call things off with her now-former girlfriend, Kath Ebbs.

JoJo Siwa reportedly returned to being single at the "Celebrity Big Brother" afterparty after several months of dating Kath Ebbs.

Siwa may have earned the latest heartbreaker title, but she still has heart, according to her admissions in a heartfelt interview on the UK's "This Morning."

The reality star revealed that her time alone in the Big Brother house allowed her to reflect deeply on her life and relationships. Although the show lasted only three weeks, she described the experience as feeling like it spanned four years.

This period of introspection led her to recognize aspects of her relationship and other areas of her life that she should never have accepted. 

While she refrained from specifically naming her ex, Ebbs, an Australian podcaster and DJ who uses she/they pronouns, JoJo indicated that her newfound clarity prompted her to take steps to prioritize her mental health after leaving the show.

She also needed to address the issues in her life with a hands-on approach; unfortunately, it led to Ebbs getting the rudest shock of her life. Siwa also expressed her gratitude to her fellow 'Celebrity Big Brother' castmate, Chris Hughes, for his support during their time on the show. 

The duo seemingly formed a close bond that ignited numerous speculations about a romantic relationship. Per TMZ, Siwa clarified that their connection is purely platonic. 

After Siwa exited the popular television show, Ebbs flew to London to celebrate with her. However, upon arriving in the UK, The Blast shared that Ebbs was met with an unexpected reality.

Instead of the supportive reunion they had anticipated, Ebbs found herself feeling abandoned at an afterparty with Chris Hughes in the next room. They revealed that Siwa had expressed confusion about their relationship.

The reality star reportedly admitted that during her time on the show, she realized Ebbs was not the person she wanted to spend her future with. 

This revelation left Ebbs feeling shocked, humiliated, and embarrassed, as they had traveled across the world to offer support during a significant moment for Siwa.

Ebbs stated that while they were living together, Siwa had communicated feelings of admiration for their partnership, indicating a strong foundation built on trust. Ebbs added that Siwa had reassured them of their commitment to one another, expressing a willingness to face challenges together. 

However, the situation took a turn when Siwa expressed a desire to explore independence and certain feelings, ultimately deciding they no longer wanted to continue the relationship. 

This split came unexpectedly, particularly following Siwa's controversial interactions with Hughes. Ebbs described that interaction as a form of "emotional cheating."

The DJ observed these developments in real-time and reflected on the situation, mentioning their thoughts on Hughes but choosing to keep them private for the moment. They described the entire experience as "brutal" and expressed uncertainty about what the future might hold for them and Siwa.

As shared by The Blast, Siwa shockingly clarified her sexual orientation during her time on "Celebrity Big Brother" despite previously identifying as a lesbian. She revealed in a private conversation with Danny Beard, a non-binary contestant from "RuPaul's Drag Race UK," that she no longer sees herself that way. 

Siwa expressed her newfound understanding, stating, "I feel so queer," and acknowledged that her experiences on the show led her to this realization. 

"I've never - I think I've always told myself, I'm a lesbian. I think you - I think being here - I've realized I am not a lesbian, I'm queer," the former child star noted.

She was genuinely happy with her clarity about her sexuality and even humorously remarked on her journey through the LGBTQ spectrum, stating, "I've dropped the L and I've gone to the Q baby!" This statement highlights her evolving perspective and the fluidity of sexual identity.

The former "Dance Moms" star came out as gay in 2021 through a TikTok video. She expressed her pride while lip-syncing to Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" with a rainbow bow, symbolizing her identity.

In a 2023 interview, Siwa reflected on her significant memories from Disney World in Florida, a place that has been pivotal in her journey.

She shared that the theme park is a backdrop for both joyful and challenging moments in her life, including her experiences of first love, heartbreak, and the realization of her sexual orientation.

"I have a lot of really fun memories here," Siwa remarked, noting that she has also faced difficulties at Disney, which have contributed to her growth. "I have a lot of really hard memories here, but I have grown a lot at Disney," the 21-year-old admitted.
