Katy Perry officially began her highly anticipated "Lifetimes" tour last week in Mexico City, but her latest costume choice has caused her to get mocked online.

Perry revealed the space-inspired outfit for the third leg of her show in the Mexican capital, but fans are now wondering if "something went wrong" when she went on her all-female expedition to space just before her tour began.

Katy Perry also recently came under fire for her antics during and after the space trip, which she said was the second-greatest experience in her life, second to being a mom.

Katy Perry Unveils New Outfit For Her Tour: 'KP143'

Perry's "Lifetimes" tour is well underway, having kicked off last Wednesday in Mexico City.

While some faithful fans have praised her musical performances, her costume choice for her shows has the internet buzzing... in mockery of her.

For the third leg of her show, the "Roar" hitmaker stepped out in a futuristic, space-inspired metallic bodysuit, and she shared photos of it on her X and Instagram accounts.

"Introducing KP143," Perry wrote in the caption. "143" is the name of her latest album, which she released in September 2024 and has been promoting on tour.

The Fan Response Has Been Divided, But Mostly Brutal

Several fans took to the comment section of Perry's post to mock her for the outfit.

"Can you please go back to space… and just stay there?" a fan asked her, referring to her recent space expedition.

Another questioned, "Is this what happens after you go to space and back?"

"I'm sure something went wrong up there when you went to space. This is becoming outrageous," a third person noted.

"I thought you were supposed to be a singer, not an extra from 'Star Trek,'" another wrote, while someone else asked, "Optimus Prime?"

Amid the harsh criticisms, many Perry fans praised the outfit in the same post she shared on Instagram.

"You look fabulous in this costume. Good show tonight! You are light! I love you," one fan wrote.

Katy Perry's Tour Has Been Space-Themed, Seemingly A Response To Her Critics

The "California Gurls" singer previously shared a video in a robot-like outfit for the second leg of the show in Mexico.

"ROUND 2! Tonight we fight the MaInFrAMe in Mexico City again. Are you bringing your main character energy?!" she wrote in the caption.

It appears Perry has decided to make her tour all about space and cyborgs, seemingly clapping back at her haters who have criticized her all-female trip to space.

For her first performance last Wednesday, she dressed in a metallic bodysuit, flew in the air, and even brought two fans wearing blue NASA jumpsuits on stage.

The Singer Is 'Struggling' With A 'Flu-Cold Thing'

Since the start of her tour, Perry has been slammed on social media for her awkward choreography, with one user slamming her for her "mom moves," while another accused her of "giving lazytown."

However, in a recent backstage clip she posted to Instagram, Perry seemingly gave fans an explanation for her underwhelming performance, explaining that she'd been "struggling for the past few weeks with my voice, having a flu-cold thing," per the Daily Mail.

She also said that the Mexican capital's famously high altitude, more than 7,000 feet above sea level, also affected things in some way.

The singer was supposed to perform in Guadalajara, Mexico, on May 1 and 2, but that schedule has been canceled as the stadium she was scheduled to perform in is still undergoing construction.

"Sadly, I learned that the construction of Arena Guadalajara will not be complete for their scheduled shows next week, which includes mine on May 1 and 2," she told fans.

Perry explained to devastated fans that she did all she could to ensure the show could go on, but her efforts proved futile.

She explained, "Last week I sent my team to the Arena to make sure there wasn't anything we could do to make this happen, but it was evident when they arrived that the venue was not ready or safe to receive my show or an audience."

"I wish I could fix this, but it is beyond my control," the singer told fans, before adding that she will "create something special for the fans in Guadalajara in the future."
