Joe Jonas might just be the king of accidental shade.

The Jonas Brothers star raised eyebrows this week after leaving a cryptic response to a TikTok comment that seemed to reference Taylor Swift’s "Mr. Perfectly Fine."

The track, many fans believe, was inspired by Joe Jonas' messy 2008 breakup with Taylor Swift.

Joe posted a casual video of himself strolling the streets of London in a sharp gray suit, when a fan slid into the comments quoting Swift's lyrics, “so dignified in his well-pressed suit.”

Jonas’s reply? A simple but loaded, “Thanks for noticing.”

Cue the internet meltdown.

Swifties were immediately sent into a frenzy, debating whether the singer even realized the comment was a lyrical jab from "Mr. Perfectly Fine," a vault track from Swift’s "Fearless (Taylor’s Version)" album.

“I'd die if he actually knew the reference,” one fan wrote on X, while another joked, “He probably doesn't even know that's from 'Mr. Perfectly Fine.'”

For those who forgot the brutal "Mr. Perfectly Fine" lyrics:

“So dignified in your well-pressed suit/So strategized, all the eyes on you/Sashay away to your seat/It's the best seat, in the best room. Oh, he's so smug, Mr. ‘Always wins.’"

Another post went viral with a screenshot of Joe’s comment, reading, “JOE REPLYING TO A COMMENT WITH 'MR. PERFECTLY FINE' LYRICS IS SOOOOOO BAD FOR ME.”

Swift and Jonas had a short but dramatic romance back in 2008, dating for about four months before he famously broke up with her over a “25-second” phone call, a moment Taylor didn’t hesitate to call out during a "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" appearance.

"Someday, I'm gonna find somebody really, really, really great, who's right for me," Swift told Ellen. "When I find that person, I'm not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18."

At the time, Jonas clapped back on Myspace, claiming, "Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk."

Still, the two managed to move past the drama over the years.

He even admitted, “I hope to think [Swifties] like me…No one f-cks with the Swifties, you know?”

After his split from Taylor, Joe went on to marry "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner in 2019. They share two daughters, Willa and Delphine, but finalized their divorce in September 2024.

Taylor has also moved on.

The "Bad Blood" hitmaker is currently heating up headlines with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell … We started hanging out right after that,” Swift said, per Billboard, referring to the July 26 episode of Kelce’s "New Heights" podcast, where he shared the story of his unsuccessful attempt to win her over with a handmade friendship bracelet during the July 9 "Eras Tour" stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

“So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," she continued. "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."

Taylor and Travis have been together ever since.
